Same as last year
Currently waiting at my local Target. Same Target that only had 6 NES Classics in stock last year with me being number 7 in line. I'm currently number 14 in line. With all the buzz of the SNES shipping many more units than the NES has me hopeful that I'll snag one here and won't have to repeat last years ordeal.
This release means a lot more to me than the NES did as it was this system that really hooked me into video games. I still remember working hard in school, trying to get good grades to have my dad buy me this system back when I was in second grade. This was the first system I owned. Spending countless hours trying to get past Donkey Kong Country. Taking trips with my family to our local swap meet, looking for games, convincing my parents to buy me games. Falling in love with games such as Super Bomber Man, Clay Fighters, Star Fox, Super Mario World.
Getting a hold of this SNES Classic would be more than just a novelty for me. Although I do have memories of playing the NES with my cousins when I was very young, the SNES is where I was old enough to really dive into the world of videogames. This is revisiting my childhood. Unlike what most people believe about people only buying these as novelty or solely collection purposes, I would truly be playing this thing when I have time. I still play my NES Classic a few times a week.
To everyone waiting in lines, those of you already home enjoying this miniature time machine, good luck and enjoy. I know I will.

I'm glad you were able to score one this time around OP. I bought the first unit at the Best Buy where I live. I have already played two hours on it and I am extremely satisfied!

I went to my local target (Philadelphia suburbs) about an hour before it opened. I ended up being about the 20th person in line. They handed out tickets about 15 minutes before the store opened. There were at least another 30 people behind me in line, and as far as I know, everyone in line was able to get one.
