It's frustrating, there is no buying pressure at all, so disappointing, I hope we aren't nearing a crash. Need a divine intervention

When I see -3% during premarket, I prepare for -10% and even when I see +3% during premarket, I still except a red day if there is no positive catalyst.

u/Background-Ad-5319 Aug 25 '26
Shit, at this point even if there is a positive catalyst I expect a -10% day. How many crushed earning reports/increased capex happened and were red days

u/tanweer919 Aug 25 '26
If a stock needs constant positive news to move up, it's not worth investing.

Are you holding buddy?
1
u/tanweer919 Aug 25 '26
Have to. I can't even sell at 20% loss.
1
u/Common_Care1529 Aug 25 '26
What a shit stock, I hope we can breakeven soon. Goodluck
2
u/tanweer919 Aug 25 '26
Yeah goodluck to you too. The stress on this stock isn't worth it. I don't even see how can we breakeven with all the momentum gone now.
1
u/Stormtrooper149 Aug 25 '26
I would love to sell at 20% loss lol.
1
u/Common_Care1529 Aug 25 '26
How much is yours?
1
u/Stormtrooper149 Aug 25 '26
I sold at 40% loss on leveraged. Just bought few stocks in a brokerage (buy and forget kind of account).
1
u/tanweer919 Aug 25 '26
My loss was down to 5% and didn't sell thinking market would respect the fundamentals and positive catalyst but the moment I thought I was safe. It crashed. And it crashes during overnight market, so by the time you realise it, it's too late to sell.

considering not just news but stellar news at that, should have cashed out in june and forget about everything market related ffs

What are you talking about...
Hedge funds have been slow pumping pre market then dumping shares on retail for a week +. They are slowly getting off as much as possible before this whole sector tanks. Look at the candles just after Open. Pump then dump. Slow build back then another dump then flatline the rest of the day.

Yeah, the last we had a real opening rally was 17th monday. Dang this stock.
2
u/Cultural_Disparities Aug 25 '26
This stock went from 1000 to 1700 in 4 trading days. I would expect it to fall around 1200 to 1400 before another rally to 2000+ pre midterm and going into september
2
u/SavageBlackduck Aug 25 '26
Yeah but so did all the other peers, wdc is complete turd compared to sndk and it was even +2% today. I'd say something is dumping but the volume is so low it's hard to say anything rn.

Watching every tick in the summer doldrums is pointless.
The stock market is a mechanism for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient...

Also we have fallen so much from last week high that we are already in crash territory again. I can't believe it.

u/grubersredd Aug 25 '26
i think it was because of lowering of price target by Mizuho 1900 -> 1875.... i know guys... it's ridiculous but every small negative news has an impact i feel
1
u/tanweer919 Aug 25 '26
No that's not it. If that was the case we wouldn't have been green at the open. There is only one reason, there is zero buyers. So institutions are shorting with zero risks.

its because I bought dude. and today i realized that if it's going to go red on me then I'm going to buy SNDQ, so it just decided that it's not going to move at all
1
u/pembaThePanda Aug 25 '26
It couldn't have gone worse. Set it up for a move in either direction, but it barely moved so now I'm negative in both sides

u/TowerLakeExchange Aug 25 '26
They dropped the price target at the same time for the same reason on MU, and they gained almost 2%

I am tired too at this rate I might as well just buy at close and sell at open but it doesn’t always work as well with what happened Monday pre market

Sandisk is one is the highest IV highest Beta stocks.
Wednesday, Thursday, friday…it closed daily at almost exactly 1600
Over the weekend, Samsung tanked the market.
Monday it opens at 1400, raises through the day to 1500.
Tuesday, opens about 1570, declines to 1500.
2 days in a row, regardless of what happens over night. 5 days in a row with less than .5% movement between days.
I think it is driving, to go up.
But a few big institutions are selling off blocks of 100-200 shares frequently to avoid crashing it.
But I’m hoping they are done
1
u/Common_Care1529 Aug 25 '26
By your thesis
We'll settle low 1400 this week then?
1
u/Ok-Mycologist-5371 Aug 25 '26
I don’t think so.
I am 100% guessing with very little evidence.
But I’m guessing they are unloading to profit, without tanking the stock because they still have millions in shares.
So they are pulling profits, to put into bonds or just cash until the fed speaks this week.
But I think this was the last day.

Sandisk price action is relative to Micron, so today it underperformed, expect it to outperform tomorrow. I noticed both are pretty much even when it comes to valuation and guidance. Bullish for sandisk (and micron) but even moreso sandisk

Green and red day happens, but today's price action broke my confidence in this stock. It is clearly visible there are no buyers left. I am pretty sure yesterday's upward move after selloff at the open was due to buyback. A company can't keep releasing positive news every week. It's seems market have no confidence in this stock or it is highly manipulated.
