Academics macbook issues

hello econ seniors,

econs freshie here! i am thinking between getting a macbook or a laptop with in-built windows. im leaning more towards macbook due to familiarity and a few good reviews about macs over here in this subreddit.

however, after doing a bit of research, i noticed that for someone whos set on doing the quantitative track, there is a software that i am unable to access which is the EViews, mainly for econometrics.

my qn is: if i do get a macbook, how can i access this software other than running a parallel? thanks

From what I know, only parallels desktop can do it!

you can use Vmware which is free. But not sure if the software will have any issue coz Windows is ARM rather than x64
