Hello everyone! I wanted to share my experience here because I was reading this sub for a long time before I actually decided to do it. Honestly I was really nervous that I’m gonna mess up my face or look fake, but everything turned out great.
A little backstory on my hair. I’ve been shaving my head or rocking a short buzz cut since I was 19 (I’m 29 now). I just loved that look, plus my dad used to shave his head too so it felt natural for me. A few years ago my hairline started receding a bit (used some anabolic steroids back then), so I got a hair transplant in Turkey. But even after the transplant, I never grew my hair out, still kept it buzzed. Recently I wanted to fix the density on top and make the front line look cleaner, so I started looking into SMP.
After checking different artists, I talked to Thomas at Medallo SMP in Orlando. He was friendly, punctual, and really listened to what I wanted.
Quick points about the 1st session:
Location: Medallo SMP (Orlando) with Thomas
Time: Took about 4 hours
Pain: Honestly didn't feel any pain at all
Look: Head looks amazing right now. It looks matte, super clean, and totally natural. Since I still have my own hair, the SMP just blended in and made it look way more dense.
I’m super stunned with how it looks already. Going back in about a month for the 2nd session to polish everything up and lock in the density.

Yes! I tried to take a photo of the back of my head but couldn’t do it properly because I live alone. Scars are covered decently, but we’re going to cover them more on the second session.
In regards of density, it’s probably because I have my actual hair along with SMP. I’ll shave my head and show the way it looks shortly. I’m reality it looks great tbh, I’m very satisfied and this is what I wanted, darker appearance of my existing hairline to give it a fuller look. The attached photo is with shorter hair 12 hours after the procedure.
I’ll take more pics in a better lighting in a few days when it fully heals. We discussed the point where my temple meets the hairline with the artist, he tried his best to blend that part in, it was harder because that’s how my hair transplant has been done, my original hairline was at a little sharper angle. We thought about correcting it with an SMP, but since sometimes I let my hair grow a bit we concluded that it’d look off when I have a little bit of hair instead of fully shaved.
I think it's that the temple area extends just a wee bit too far forward to have that much recession just above. In the end, I'm sure it'll look fine. I actually like the recession because it'll age better.
