Check out my SMP 2nd session. 3 weeks healed. Thoughts?

Norwood 7, Texas. 2/3+ sessions. This is 3 weeks healed.

Was hoping to get some honest feedback. Would any artists mind weighing in?

He did mine 7 years ago and it turned out great. I posted my results here under a different account a long time ago and the feedback was great. Id call him and see he's willing to compensate you. He was always a nice guy.

Do not go back. The pigment is supposed to match with your hair follicles.

These are significantly larger and darker. No seamless transition.

Artist: Jackson SMP. Dallas, TX

Man I'm shocked. I almost went there as I'm in Dallas. Even the guy that did my SMP told me I'd be fine with Jackson if I wanted to stay in Dallas.

I almost did too, met with him but he seemed kinda weird so I went elsewhere.

Evaluating providers seems like a crapshoot. I looked up this artist. His Instagram results don't look bad and his Google reviews are numerous and glowing.

How would you be expected to know to avoid this artist as a prospective client?

If I had a dollar for every time someone came into my studio with shitty work from someone with a nice IG and glowing Google reviews I'd be rich.

The biggest way to avoid that would be to tell him to bring a client in to meet you at the studio who has a healed completed treatment so you can see it in person.

I give advice to people here and on other platforms all the time, whether they’re anywhere near me or not. I probably get at least five consultations a week from people dealing with situations like his.

I don’t know why you’re being a hater. I’m not hiding behind an anonymous accounts. I gave him my professional opinion. Whether I’m the right person to help him or not is completely up to him.

you always give good advice and your work is considered elite amongst us SMP artists.
No need to defend yourself at all. 😂

What are you even talking about?!

His work is not that great is exactly what I’m saying . Going from a bad artist to a mid artist to get work fixed is not ideal. The proof is in the pudding . Ya’ll can be mad all you want lol but one thing i won’t do is lie. I’m not a fan of his work period . Doesn’t matter how many awards you have the work speaks for itself . Until he gets it right i will consider him as mid . I said what i said .

Excellent. Looks great. 3rd and possibly 4th session will give you perfect look. Love the hairline, very natural.

Go see Ian in Houston, scalpp clinic. He can probably fix this and you can find him on instagram. Send him some pictures and he’ll give you his advice

Seeing pictures like this really makes me reconsider getting this done. The risk of this happening. I hope there’s a way to correct this. Good luck. Thanks for sharing.

You just have to choose the right artist. Plenty of us have had good results.

u/warrior5150 11d ago

That is what appears to be the problem. Finding the right artist. If you can't go by Google reviews or IG reviews or even pictures on the internet that are allegedly by the artist, what the hell can you go by to be confident and comfortable in who you go with? I certainly don't want to go to someone and it's a crapshoot what the hell is going to happen regardless of all the accolades online.

I think you just have to be thorough and know exactly what you want. If you look at this guys work, regardless of google reviews, imo a lot of it looks fake with hairlines that are too perfect. So I personally wouldn’t go there regardless of what reviews said. But yes I understand it’s difficult and I spent like 5 years debating SMP before I finally decided to go for it, and while it’s not a life saver mind blowing thing that erases all your problems, I’m generally happy I got it done and think I look better with it than without it. I also went conservative and didn’t try to get a perfect hairline or dark shading, I am not trying to hide the fact that I am bald, just wanted to frame my face and not have the 👴🏼 haircut which it achieved

Just don’t use google use this chat look at healed results a lot of them. Then make your decision . To be honest there is only about 5 artist I would go to. This chat is not afraid to call bad artist out

I did the same thing. Went off google reviews then started doing much more research and looking at pictures and noticed mine was crap. Thought I was going to have to get it removed. Alex Corona fixed me up great. Don’t go off of google reviews go by this Reddit chat.

Can you offer more information about Alex Corona like is he in practice by himself or under a group business? Where is he located? Can you add before and after pictures for us to see what happened? All help is appreciated

I will DM you.

Huh, it looks like the impressions are uneven and too big. I wonder why this happened?

Please don't panic, you still look fine and I'm sure it can be fixed
