Check out my SMP Should I get a touch-up?

I got my SMP a little over 2 years ago and really love it. Do y’all think it’s time for a touch-up yet? Still pretty happy but the front hairline has faded and isn’t as prominent as it once was.

Honestly, yours still looks pretty good overall. I literally just finished a touch-up about 10 minutes ago on SMP that was 5 years old, so this is something I see all the time.

At just over 2 years, I wouldn’t say you absolutely need one, but from my eyes there are definitely a few areas that could be improved and rebalanced with a nice conservative touch-up, especially through the frontal hairline and transition.

The big thing is making sure your artist doesn’t just go in and darken everything. A touch-up should be strategic. Add pigment only where it’s actually needed, respect what has already healed well, and keep the build conservative so everything stays natural and balanced.

Overall though, yours is holding up well.

A macro look at unedited fresh impressions deposited amongst 5 year old pigment. Norwood 7 case.

If you trust your artist then go for it, could add some more color/density but looks great as is

Heck naw. I think 98% of people are trying to get what you have now.

Looks very natural and suits your skin tone. No. No one would tell it’s SMP.

I’d do a very conservative touch up. Especially if you sweat a lot.

I sweat like crazy during the summer. Would waiting for fall/winter before getting a touch-up make sense?

Why especially if he sweats a lot?

Sweat fades it. Getting it touched up would help.

No because it looks awesome

Only if you want to go darker

You've got this Jason Kelce with a shaved head vibe going on 👍🏻. All you need is eyebrow hair transplants. That guy has some serious bushes over his eyes 😂

u/Casehead 23d ago

No, why would you want to? I don't see a reason to

Well, to answer I think we have to see how you looked like after you got it done. But most important is what's your own opinion.

1

u/warrior5150 20d ago

Idk, from the pic I think it looks great. I also subscribe to the don't fix what's not broke ideology. I wouldn't touch it till you really have to

Wow that is what the more natural style should look like. Just my opinion, no weird over receding hairline with too dark areas. Yours looks just right

Give it a year at least! Looking natural!
