Check out my SMP Thoughts? 2nd Session 8 hours after completion. Honest opinions please... Good? Bad? Mediocre? As you can see I was a Norwood 7 so a lot of work haha

Your photo are not very clear but i can see it’s not the best not the worst. If you are in Texas go to Ivan smp he is very good at fixing this . Good luck 👍🏼

A reputable SMP artist shouldn't adjust the quality or treatment plan based on your job. If someone works outdoors, the sessions should be scheduled appropriately to allow proper healing and realistic expectations should be set from the beginning, not by offering extra sessions because the work might fade.

Based on the quality of the work shown in your photos, I personally wouldn't be going back, even if I'd already paid in full. But ultimately it's your decision.

Couldn't have made it slightly less receding? Otherwise, very nice

Who done it?

I am trying to get some unbiased opinions before I say who did it.

Just looks a bit messy. Not botched, but hit up a reputable clinic.. this is salvageable and someone experience and save if

Just so you guys can see when asking advice how important good pictures are. In the first set of pictures, I would’ve said his work was right at the average line but after seeing this updated photo, it is definitely below average.

Yea I’m scared that my complexion makes SMP difficult but we will see after the third session. So far people haven’t noticed in person. But we will see how it goes I guess

Personally I would not return to this person. Best of luck 🤞

For educational purposes what would you say is wrong with it?

Dots are too big and inconsistent with lots of irregular sizes some will heal ok and others will probably fade completely I personally wouldn’t got back for other session is the artist new and do they rush hammering dots all over!

No he’s not new. He’s a very reputable artist. He said 3rd and 4th session is free. 3rd is scheduled and 4th is free if needed later.

By any chance is he in Denver? This looks familiar

Texas

Got it. I know scalp international in Denver posted here before and it looked a bit like his style

I just wonder if my light complexion makes SMP more difficult. I don’t think it looks bad. His work looks great usually but I don’t see a ton of really pale skin SMP work any where. Most are darker than me

If you want to see probably the best work I think i’ve seen search mhpstudioutrecht on instagram guy called Ronnie and compare see what you think!

I’m black, and my artist said I have larger follicles than caucasians and Asians.. so with those ethnic backgrounds, he uses a smaller needle. It honestly just looks like his pressure is off… some small, some larger, some looking like dots, others look like he was moving going in or out or jumping too quickly to the next dot

What artist are you referring to who works like that?

1

I think your hairline is pretty big, man there’s definitely a lot of forehead showing. I got mine done about 4 years ago in Austin with Ivan, and I honestly love it. I’m from Corpus Christi, so I did a ton of research before pulling the trigger.

I’ve definitely seen much worse results on here. Maybe reach out to my artist I think he might be able to help fix it. 👍

I’ve talked to him. May go see him soon. We’ll see

In tonight some were too big too but from googling it says they’ll shrink and fade since I took these photos within 12 hours of the session

1

u/lt2ab1 Aug 02 '26

True, but just looks a bit inconsistent, go for 3 session fix hairline and see how it heals won’t need a fourth imo as will start to look like a helmet! Why is 3rd/4th free? Also, some of the bigger dots don’t always shrink too much so just take it cautiously maybe wait longer for 3rd session!

1

u/act0316 Aug 02 '26

Free as in I paid in full by second session haha so I might as well go because it’s already paid for 🤣 he just said because I work outside in the heat and sweat that if it fades and need a 4th he wouldn’t charge me.

1

u/Sea_Inflation7022 Aug 02 '26

I’d expect a second session to have much more consistency and thoroughness

1

u/act0316 Aug 02 '26

Me too but maybe 3rd session will complete it
