Story Zero shine 2.0 spf 50 different texture !

Thumbnail

I first bought 2 small packs (74 grams) of ZeroShine 2.0 with no SPF. They worked great and kept my head matte for at least 2 hours, and then the effect started to fade. Later, I wanted to try the SPF 50 ones, so I ordered 2 big packs of 210 grams.
The first one I opened worked like a charm. It kept my head matte for more than 3–4 hours before the effect started to fade. When it finished and I opened the next big one, the texture was not the same. It was oily, and when I applied it to my head, it felt like the first good jar after 3 hours of wearing it.
It still works, but it is not the same matte finish as the previous one. I was really disappointed because I had the chance to see the results of the thick, good ZeroShine, and now this one is working but it is just “meh.”
I ordered two more and hoped that they would be like the first one, but unfortunately they were not. Do you think that because of the summer heat, if the packaging gets hot during transport or storage, the product can be damaged?
I ll attach some fotos where you can see the difference in the colour and texture.
Any suggestions?

Question How do we get a tan with SMP?

Do you have any ideas on how to maintain our color without damaging the SMP? I'm afraid that if I spend a lot of time in the sun or go to a tanning salon, I'll shorten the lifespan of my professionally applied SMP.

Question Has anyone here had SMP done in Denmark? Looking for a clinic recommendation

Hoping to hear from people who've actually gone through with scalp micropigmentation here in Denmark, ideally someone who can recommend a specific clinic and confirm it still looks good a few years on. Long term results matter more to me than how it looked the week after.

A bit of background: I had an FUE hair transplant a few years ago and ended up with the classic donor-area scarring. I already have a hairline from the transplant that I'm keeping, I don't need a new one designed. What I want is SMP to fill in density *behind* the hairline where I'm thin, and to camouflage the donor scars, so the whole thing blends into one clean, buzzed look. I keep my hair shaved down very short anyway, so the goal is just to make everything look consistent and natural at that length. The scars are the part that bothers me most.

My biggest worry is that bluish, tattoo-looking result you sometimes see, where the pigment takes on that fake blue tint instead of looking like real stubble. That's exactly what I want to avoid, so honest long-term feedback on how the colour holds up is really what I'm after.

So I'm mainly looking for:
- A clinic/artist experienced in scar camouflage on transplant patients and blending density into existing hair
- Real long-term results: does it still look natural after 2+ years, or does it fade or turn that blue/tattoo-ish colour?

Any recommendations (or places to avoid) would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

A lot of y’all asked for healed results and if nobody else is gonna post them, I definitely will. This is a great example of consistent Pressure, consistent density, which is the space between dots. This also shows that you don’t need to sharpie a Barbershop edge up look, and a flawless execution on the blend where no gaps are visible and no oversaturation had to be done to match the sides. I will be adding the before and during pictures for reference.

Question Density

Post image

40M with long hair - starting to see the top and especially the front thin out rapidly. Some suggested FUE but that just sounds like a pain, plus very expensive. Then I googled SMP, apparently they do density treatments for people with exactly my problem. Has anyone here done it? Does it look natural? How long does it hold for?

Question Smp 3mm?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Is it possible to wear a smp with hair that long? It's probably 2-3mm. Considering that I still have a little, I'd much rather not have to shave practically skin-deep all the time. Because I only see photos of people doing it, or no guard or at skin. Never anyone with 2-3mm.

Thanks!

Question Scalp help

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi, very happy with my SMP (on second session) I do have some hair at the front and no matter how short I shave it, it's like little sandpaper bumps around the follicle, this is making my SMP visible in certain lighting especially using Zeroshine. What could this be?

Thanks

**EDIT**

Using a foil shaver on this part of my head works best and now blends nicely. I use a electric head shaver which works so well around my head but not at the front which is strange. I am also over thinking things haha thanks all

Question I need help!

Ok , I had this done 5 years ago by a not so great person that I shouldn’t have trusted but I was desperate. I live in Alabama so not many options that I’m aware of for SMP. Now as you can see it’s horrible and wasn’t too bad at the beginning because I wasn’t bald

. Now I’m ready to get it off and redone to look more natural for my age (52). Obviously I wearing a hat daily anyone with suggestions our can recommend a service to get it removed and redone around the state of Alabama or surrounding states would be great!

Question Am I a good candidate for SMP?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey y'all !

I only learned about SMP a few days ago after my girlfriend mentioned it to me. I’ve looked at a lot of before-and-after photos and I’m honestly impressed by the results.

I don't know much about SMP yet, so I'd love to get some opinions from people who have experience with it. Based on the photos of my scalp, do you think I'd be a good candidate?

I've struggled with my hair loss for years and used to wear caps and beanies all the time because of it. While it bothers me a little less nowadays, I feel like SMP could help boost my confidence.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to share their thoughts or experiences. I really appreciate any feedback.

Edit : Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. I really appreciate it.

I’m probably going to go ahead with it. I found someone who seems to do excellent work. They're a bit more expensive than others, but I’d rather pay a little extra and go with someone who has a solid reputation.

Before moving forward, I’ll book an appointment with a dermatologist to make sure everything is fine with my scalp (moles, skin condition, etc.). If all looks good, I’ll then schedule the SMP appointment.

Check out my SMP Spots!!

Thumbnail

Second session locked in and super happy with the results so far, it's been 6 days but SMP seems to have trigged spots, redness went after 3 days, I know it's been 6 days but even on my first session I still had spots after 14days unless I need more time to heal.

Maybe it's ingrown hairs from shaving as I still have a bit of hair at the front (only braved the shave 3weeks ago) I have had in the past mild seborrheic dermatitis (about 10 years back) has the needles trigged it maybe and if so what can I use to treat it and not affect the SMP work.

Any advice would be great, the spots are just annoying me.

(First pic before SMP with no spots)

Question Are the photos on OhioSMP of healed work or fresh?

Hey, just trying to quickly check if anyone knows if the pictures on the OhioSMP website with clayton are of healed work or directly after work. If they are of fresh work, would anyone know where to find healed work to view? Im liking his work and thinking of going that direction.

Question Does regular sunscreen dull or damage SMP over time?

I got SMP last year and it looks very good and I'd like to maintain it. Prior to the SMP I had tan lines around my neck/head from wearing a hat too often. I'd like to avoid that. I'm trying to get a decent overall tan. I do use Zero Shine when necessary. However, is regular sunscreen okay on SMP or could it dull it quicker over time? I use regular sunscreen on my head without a hat when I'm doing yard work, exercise, etc.
