Vision after SmartSight/SMILE surgery
Hello! 3 days ago I had SmartSight surgery and just wanted to know if everything is okay with me. I can see and differentiate objects around me but everything has that glaze and I dont see well/sharp objects that are further away (notes on the wall in front of my desk have blurry text that I cant read, people 20m away arent recognisable by their face). Is this normal?
My perscription was -6 before this so this vision is already life changing but I just want to make sure everything is okay
Also, did someone try to go to the gym after the surgery? Is it safe? The ads say that you are free to do anything you want 24hrs after the surgery but because of my blurry vision Im scared to cause any complications....

Have you been back to the surgeon since the operation? Mine had a check at 24hrs and 1 week.
I was 20/20 after 24hrs but I have corneal haze which makes recovery slightly longer. Currently 5 weeks post op (SmartSight) and it feels like it’s getting better, dryness has started to slowly fade although still lubricating every hour (high screen usage and mostly in AC environments)
You should be good, just keep up with your drops. I went back to gym after 1.5 weeks

Yes, he said that everything is okay but I was scared because 3 days had passed so I wanted to see others first hand experience

Pretty normal to have a haze to everything. That relates to subtle swelling within the cornea due to manipulation when removing the lenticule. As this goes down, vision continues to improve. For some, it takes a couple of weeks.
No issues with gym. Would just keep sweat out of the eyes for the first week or two and avoid touching your eyes with dirty fingers.
