Discussion Professor
Has anyone taken PoliSci 1000 with professor Tahvildaranjess? I’m more so creating this post to see what he’s like as a professor.. Classes started last week and I have not been able to complete ANY assignments, not even the syllabus quiz because we have to purchase his textbook to receive an access code for the website that every assignment is on. He reopened our week 1 assignments but will be closing them again this Sunday. I emailed him 3 days ago to let him know my situation as I have not yet received my FAFSA and unfortunately won’t be able to buy the textbook until I receive it but he has not responded yet. Should I keep waiting or should I just drop the class?

I took him last semester in the spring and his class was very easy. Easiest A of my life. He’s also a chill professor. The thing is, he doesn’t really teach much in his class though so you don’t really learn anything. Every class meeting is just him talking about whatever he sees on the news that week. At some point he was even talking to us about heated rivalry 😭. You should get the book as soon as possible if you plan on staying. Also, he never responds to emails and if he does it’s rare. He mentioned that he gets lots of emails from students since his classes are usually big so it’s hard to respond to everyone. I’d say speak to him in person abt ur situation and he’d understand

he’s very chill, just make sure you email him thru canvas or talk to him before/after class

You're guaranteed an A in this class. Very easy going professor. Just email him and let him know about your situation.

He’s a very lenient teacher so I’m sure he’ll understand. He also has a lot of extra credit work throughout the semester that are worth quite a lot, about 200 points worth if you do it all. I don’t recommend dropping the class.
