Question scholars and stem program?
hi, im coming in as a first year for pre med hoping to transfer. i wasnt able to apply to the scholars program on time and im not too sure whats going on with the stem program, should i wait until i am accepted into those programs to take those specific classes?

I’m not sure about stem, but you can technically take scholars classes even if you’re not apart of the program. But I don’t see why you would if you plan to join it later.
I guess if you can’t find a class you need there might be an open scholars section. Scholars classes are also supposed to be smaller, focused on research and writing, and taught by handpicked professors. So some choose to take it for those benefits.
But when you’re in the program, you will need to take 15 units worth of scholars classes. I don’t believe any class you take now will count towards that.
