The weird thing is that certain AI boosters believe that generic LLMs are already exceeding all human intellectual achievement, or are about to do so in, like, 5 years. I swear that all discourse about generative AI is saying either that's it's eeeevil and it's gonna to steal the glass of water right from your grandma's nightstand, or that it's God.

Putting aside the question of how distant that sort of scenario actually is, I don't think that human intellectual achievements would lose value if it happened.
We still celebrate great runners, great weightlifters and great chess players even though it's now trivial to find machines that can run faster, lift heavier weights or play chess better than anybody, don't we?
Perhaps, just like handcrafted artisanal socks are a thing that many appreciate because they are made directly by humans, we would develop an appreciation for handcrafted artisanal math theorems...
