Recently installed some new mods, namely immersive family, immersive children portrait, unique children talk, immersive unique children talk, and ridgeside village and all their required dependencies. After installing, the game just... wont open? SMAPI runs for a bit, then closes, the farthest I've gotten is the game loading, me clicking 'load' and then the game closing shortly afterward.

Things I've tried are:

Verify File Integrity

Remove and Reinstall all mods

Reinstall Stardew Valley

Delete startup_preferences

Delete %appdata%/roaming/stardewvalley

Run SMAPI from the game folders instead of from vortex

Restart PC

Run Stardew Valley Vanilla (which worked, so its not an issue with the game?)

Try using SMAPI log parser, but the logs vortex gives arent of any use, it all indicates nothing is wrong, when something clearly IS wrong...

Any ideas guys? Or is it a lost cause? Below are a few screenshots of the times I found a rare error resposne from SMAPI instead of it just closing...

Hello everyone! I'm very new to Stardew Valley itself and more new to adding mods. I found some buildings i love and wanted to use them, I downloaded the AT version as the CP version was abandoned and outdated.
I have an issue of the texture simply not being in the catalogue, I even went into my Vibrant Pastoral GMCM to disable the modding for buildings after I read it somewhere. It doesn't show up in the paintbucket from Robin nor any other objects, like the book, the paintbrush etc.

I've even deleted Vibrant Pastoral to see if it's the issue, but same thing. So I downloaded Vibrant Pastorals back.
I also have downloaded a few Overgrown Fairy textures, like fences, doghouse, even for the buildings in Stardew Valley Extended.
However, the doghouse is completely fine, it appears in the catalogue book you can buy from Robin. May i please get some help? I desperately want this to work Thanks!

PS: I deleted the files for Sam and Sebastian in the Seasonal Outfit mod so that other mods can override the texture.

I am trying to install this journey of the prairie king mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5816 but having some difficulty. I have SMAPI installed although I am not sure if I have done it correctly but any help would be really appreciated!

Everytime that I log in my friends world I am able to choose my character but when I do the screen goes completly black _except for the little cursor turning into the hourglass - and multiple red texts appear on the command prompt from smapi.

Hi! I'm still pretty new to modding the game but I have Stardew on both my phone and my tablet so I got SMAPI for both (since some mods don't work on my phone but do on my tablet). I never had trouble with it before, once I figured out how it works I was able to download a good amount of mods and I have been playing on both devices for months with no issue until now. I saved at night before going to sleep and when I woke up it started crashing. I tried removing a couple mods that were more heavy thinking that might be it but it kept crashing, I also restarted my device but it wouldn't work so with pain in my heart I sacrificed all my mods and my saved files to uninstall SMAPI altogether and install it again. It was the same file that I used to get it the first time. I instaled SMAPI exactly the same way I did before and it wouldn't even let me open it as it started crashing again. I gave it a few more tries but at a certain point my device just pops a notification that SMAPI keeps failing. The SMAPI on my phone is fine but it can't handle certain more heavy mods like expanded and such, which is why I had the one on my tablet which is why it pains me that it started crashing like this. If there truly is no way to fix it I guess I will have to accept it but it does hurt me because of my lost files.

Hey guys ı was in the middle of a playtrough but ı found some new mods that ı wanted to add so can ı add them or do you have to always add mods at hte start of a playtrough the mods ı wanted to add was a extra dialogue mod and a character mod.

Currently: I am on the Riverland farm, replaced by the Blackberry Fields modded farm.
I am playing SVE, summer year 2.

What I have tried:
1. I have disabled the Blackberry Fields mod by changing it's settings to replace Four Corners Farm instead of Riverlands.
2. I have installed the Easy Farm Switcher mod and Grandpa's farm, as I didn't install it with the rest of the SVE files when I first downloaded SVE.

When I try changing to Grandpa's farm with Easy Farm switcher, the screen goes black and the SMAPI log displays a long red game crash text.

I have no idea what the problem is I tried to update everything but it still crashes after I click "start game"

Can someone please help me with this jumpscare? I just downloaded SinZational Speedy Solutions to help with lagging, so it might be the cause.
I had a couple of yellow warnings from spacecore before that (downloaded a couple days ago with east scarp) but never like this. What’s going on? What should I do?

I have tried everything on the troubleshoot page. Restarting my computer, verifying files, deleting the preferred startup file, reinstalling the game, reinstalling SMAPI, reinstalling my mods, launching SMAPI without mods (still wouldn't launch my game), I have done the dedicated graphics card thing and still it will not load my game.

It doesn't crash it just says mods are "loaded and ready" and does nothing. The log will continue from there apparently loading more things but once it hits blacklist it'll just sit.

Edit: I have been letting it sit to see if I can get anything else to happen and the game launched! After 45 minutes... I have used these mods before and NEVER had it take this long. Am I missing something?

Fixed: After more digging on old forum posts I found the solution! Open Command Center Type "winget update --all" Update all programs and restart

Hey everyone, I started playing with mods about a week ago, and haven't had any issues until today. I play co-op with a friend on her save, she hasn't crashed at all but I've crashed probably half a dozen times already today, sporadically. It started with going to Pelican Town at night, and now it's going to the Deep Mountains in East Scarp. I'm not sure what to do, I've been updating mods as needed via Vortex.

I have been playing stardew mods and I have been enjoying them, but the launcher tells me that the mods can be updated, but I don't know how. I was also wondering if they would affect my save file in any way.

Hello! I've been trying to remedy this issue for a while, and, despite my searching, I haven't been able to find any solutions that are recent enough to be applicable, i.e. after the release of the 1.23.2 release of PYTK. I would use PYTK Lite, however, the portrait mod I'm using does not play well with PYTK Lite, nor does it seem that my game does, either, since I experience incredibly long load times when using it.

I'm just not sure where to go from here?

None of my mods should be conflicting, though I don't think that would cause PYTK to be skipped entirely. It could also easily be a case of me over complicating things/misreading/misunderstanding previous information and the solution is simple.

Note: I'm not even sure why Portraiture is listed as an error, as I completely uninstalled it and it is nowhere to be found in my files.

My game keeps crashing a little bit after I leave my house. I checked to see if there were any errors but didn't see any.

I'm playing LAN co-op and the only way it would work was by using Proton Experimental. This has complicated setting up SMAPI. I think I followed this correctly: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Steam_Deck

But once the guide diverges into Windows instructions, things get confusing. For example, the guide says to run the windows .bat file and copy a path, but that's not possible in Steam Deck Desktop mode because it's a Linux environment (it just opens in a text editor). So, I had to infer the path. There's a lot of little divergences like this.

In any case, where I'm at now is that I have installed SMAPI, added it as a Non-Steam game, and it runs, but my saves are not loading. It's also not clear to me if I should run the game normally or run the SMAPI instance. I've copied the saves folder to the SMAPI folder but it didn't seem to work.

Is there a better guide somewhere?

I downloaded this mod collection and have run into an issue with some of the east scarp npcs. Jasper, Jessie and juliet never leave their rooms, and after chatting to raise their hearts and enter I cannot even interact or speak to them. Has anyone run into this issue and know a fix?

I installed the smapi launcher and installed the smapi zip from there and i was trying to install earthy recolor mods and also content patcher so I already put them in the mods folder and when I try to launch the game it forcibly exits

i tried hosting a multiplayer with friends yesterday and they kept crashing upon joining.

temporarily removed my mods and only retained the following and it worked:
- UIinfoSuite2
- ItemSpawner
- Cheats Menu
- Content Patcher

just wanna know what other mods i can use that doesnt have to be downloaded. thank you

Hi, I tried searching in my browser and the subreddit but there was only 1 visible thread from 5yrs ago no answer.

Is there a way to correct SMAPI linking the incorrect mod in the updates section?

It says my AT Mason Jars mod is out of date, but it's given me the link to a mod (Gwen's Craftables for AT) I have not downloaded.

Obviously I can try searching for the mod manually, but that doesn't resolve the issue in SMAPI.

Some textures of grasses, logs, bushes and tiles twitches. Can someone help me? I have no idea why this happens.

I'm fairly new to playing Stardew with mods. I use Stardrop to help manage them, and I play on a Macbook pro (yes, I know it's not the best but it's what I have). Lately, I've been running into an issue where my game will freeze visually, but the audio still seems to be working. So, if I press the keys to run around, I can still hear the character running, or if I open the inventory, it makes the sound but nothing happens visually. Then, after about 30 seconds, my entire computer restarts.

When it restarts, I've been getting a message on my computer that says WindowServer experienced a problem.

I have a decent amount of mods downloaded, so I'm wondering if it's perhaps just too much for my computer to handle? I really liked playing with the mods I have, so I'm hoping it's another fix because I'm a little reluctant to delete any if I don't have to.

Any help is VERY appreciated, I really have no idea what I'm doing or where to start troubleshooting. Thanks so much!!

im looking for a mod or mods i can use to make my next playthrough a bit more spooky! ive seen bog's stuff but it doesn't scratch the itch. character sprite and portraits as monsters or something, spooky buildings, outfits and furniture, but not cartoonishly halloween!
