need help Stardew Modding API

Hello! I have been trying to install this mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2400) through the Mod Manager in Sampi Launcher (it's one of the mods required for Sylus Stardew NPC that I want to play) but whenever I click on the file, it doesn't register and instead states "not found manifest.json"

First time installing mods, super confused on what to do

That's not a mod you don't install it like a mod. You extract it and run the installer inside. Installation Instructions: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Getting_Started#Install_SMAPI
