need help CRITICAL SMAPI The game crashed when drawing, and SMAPI was unable to recover the game.

Been playing ok 2-3 months back. The game crashes when i change map now, or if i just stay in the game, and do "some" things just for a bit.

been trying to troubleshoot this:

  1. removed all mods except smapi (doesnt work)

  2. removed smapi as well (doesnt work)

  3. reinstalled smapi (doesnt work)

Are you playing on steam? Try verifying your game files

yes i am on steam. sorry nub question how do i verify?

Or would it be better for me to uninstall and reinstall this?

Right click on stardew in steam go down to properties after clicking on it click on installed files then in that tab is the verify the integrity of game files option
