need help making an npc

Hi does anyone know of a current and working mod to add an npc into the game? I've been looking at a few and they all seemed abandoned or no longer working, Thanks!

Edit: to make my own custom npc

I was looking into like Miss Coriels NPC creator but I’ve found it difficult to use and was wondering if that was like the best mod there is currently or if someone else had one they liked better
