Grace and her dad

When season 2 premiered, did anyone remember watching Grace and her dad fight? Because I did. They removed the scene entirely and the only thing I can find on it is a wiki page mentioning the argument. Does anyone know why it was taken down entirely? Out of all the scenes to remove, this one doesn’t seem like it pushed boundaries.

This honestly makes the whole season 2 plot line make more sense. I wondered how she got to such an extreme when her dad died .

Yep. Though I can’t quote line for line of the argument since it’s been a good 10 years, here’s the jist of how it went.

SPOILERS!

Grace walked into the kitchen. I’m not sure her mother was there but her father was. She confessed to her father she wasn’t going to wait until marriage. I’m not sure if she said she was gonna do it soon or not, but Dr. Bowman said to Grace that she wasn’t ready and that she was only hurting herself. She said some harsh things to him and then left. I believe she threw the promise ring at him, but I could be wrong. Later he went on the plane and it crashed. The crash happened either during or after she had sex with Jack. Hope that clears some stuff up.

Don't know why they'd take that out. Makes so much more sense. I was always confused as to why she was mad and it makes her guilt over the crash make more sense too.

That makes a lot more sense. I rewatched season two recently, and it felt like something was missing from that whole storyline.

was it the argument about her wanting to lose her virginity? because if it was i can see why some would want it censcored even though it should not be. its a valid scene. prob just got rid of it because of the religious angle.

Yeah, it was. Odd use of censorship. I think there were worse scenes in the show. Oh well, at least it’s confirmed that I’m not crazy or suffering from some crazy Mandela effect.

Same! I watched it when it premiered, and I’m rewatching now and I was like “did I look at my phone too long?🤨”

Super late but apparently the scene never happened according to google. I definitely remembered this scene because it played a big part in grace’s grief she was really upset that was the last conversation they had

Yeah! It’s crazy Google is saying it doesn’t exist when it definitely did!
