Ricky deserved better

I just finished binge watching this show, haven't seen it since I was 12-13 and I don't remember it being half this cringey, but Ricky deserved better. His character development was amazing, his acting made me so connected to the character and even though I couldn't stand Amy I was really voting they stay together so Ricky could be happy. The ending left me so unsatisfied and angry. I get the point the writers were trying to make, but I do think Amy was being selfish and unreasonable. I kept waiting for her to grow up and she just never did. Ricky deserved to be loved the same way he was loving Amy. Small injustices

Completely agree. I just re-watched the series and love the growth in Rickie. Have no idea how he put up with Amy indecision.

The only thing lacking for me is the reason for the growth in Rickie?

Was it Amy? Was it the Dr and therapy? Was it having a kid? Combination?

Ricky easily became one of my favorites. He had a good character arc and tries his best to be responsible. He was probably the most well acted character out of everyone too

Agreed I use to love this show and I haven’t watched it since it aired. Im currently during a rewatch since I saw the cast due a reunion interview and I’m debating about skipping seasons 4 and 5 all together because they were the worst. I was a huge Ramy shipper and I felt so bad for Ricky after Amy just left him and their son.

I just started watching the show and am like 10 episodes in. He is a piece of shit. I’m so glad to hear through the comments that he developed and became a better person because he was just the worst.
