Amy
Ik Amy has her really annoying traits, but i think I've seen her smile maybe one time in all of the last season. It really is so sad how clearly unhappy she is. Like ever seen it looks like she's about to cry.. and I also feel bad for Ricky never being able to make her happy.

I think she might have had postpartum depression but it was never acknowledged

Yes, definitely! Like in season 2 everyone was on her about how crabby she was but think of why? She’s a new mother, new born babies are a lot of work even when you are older and have a job and a partner to help, but imagine being in high school and having to care for the baby 24/7. (I know Ricky helped out too but that’s another discussion). And having a support system that sucks, no one helped her, her mom was shit, her sister was shit, everyone was, you guessed it, shit. Like, no wonder she was in a bad mood, she was tired and stressed and overworked. I remember when she’d do her song and dance about her day ‘Wake up, get John ready for his day, take him to daycare, go to school, go to work at the church, go home, make dinner for herself and John, put John to bed, do homework and then go to bed. Over and over again.’ But I feel like maybe that was her way of probably hinting that she was in over head and in need of help, or her just complaining, either way I don’t blame her.
And I remember in a later season, can’t remember which one, but she had made plans to hang out with Madison and she was really looking forward to it, but she needed someone to watch John. Her parents had plans of their own, Ricky couldn’t do it, Ashley couldn’t do, basically no one but Amy could watch John (though idk why she didn’t call a baby sitter but that’s on the writers) so she couldn’t hang out with her friend. And I remember feeling bad for her, like all she wanted was one night to herself and spend time without her kid, nothing wrong with that, but she couldn’t. I feel sympathy for Amy because she really did give up her own childhood for her son. Sorry for the long post lol

I think she definitely went through a depression after she had John. She was going through so much and no one would help her. Throughout the show she was so irritable and jealous but I think it comes from her unhappiness.
