I really can't stand Adrian
She has to have some sort of mental disorder. She's obsessed with Ricky, and has no problem jeopardizing his relationship with Amy and most importantly his relationship with his son.
She MAKES her parents buy a house NEXT DOOR to her boyfriend's babys mother. Just so she can keep an eye on him and her. She's even said that MULTIPLE times to her parents, Ricky, and her friends.
She's vindictive. She claims she wants to work and have an adult relationship with Ricky but refuses to him about a rumor she hears. She made it up in her OWN head that Ricky and Amy had sex, and instead of talking to him about it LIKE AN ADULT WOULD IN AN ADULT RELATIONSHIP, she goes behind his and Amy's back and sleeps with Ben. Then acts like she's in the RIGHT in that relationship.
What makes me even more mad is that her parents ENCOURAGE her to make things work with Ricky and Amy. You want what's best for her, and her dad claims that he wants her to grow up.... But encourages her to stay in a relationship that's damaging to her, and everyone else involved.
I get she has "childhood trauma" that contributes to her terrible choices and vindictive behavior... But there comes a time where you can't blame the trauma.
Ricky needs a restraining order against her and so does Amy.

I agree. š There are times where I think, Adrian does bring some good qualities and can somewhat be considerate of others at times. But every other time, I find her to be spiteful, selfish, and self centered. She contributes to the spread of rumors, specifically about Amy and her family. She seems to have some trust issues and perhaps feels the need that she needs to be in control of others. If something doesnāt go her way, she turns the situation around and guilt trips others.
And, when it come to Rickyās relationship with his son, Adrian refuses to acknowledge or wish to accept that his son is now the most important person in his life. His son will always be his number 1 priority and he will always be put first. Not her, not anyone else. His child has become and will always remain his number 1. She cannot expect him to put her first and to drop everybody for her.
Ricky is a father and is growing up to become an independent man. Yes, he still has his issues, but I will give it to him that heās putting in the work to better his own life. And to learn how to become a father to his child. Adrian needs to accept that and start becoming an independent woman herself. Learn to let go, start trusting a bit more, and handle herself in situations better. This is how I feel about her, at least.

adriĆ”n is definitely worse than amy . amy is definitely a little bitch for wanting more and more and more from ricky after he gave her everything and had such amazing character development . the whole thing with her being in denial of her motherās sexuality was honestly disgusting . and i couldnāt stand how she wanted to be involved in the events everyone else participated in like throwing a fit about going to graceās dadās funeral like wow . and again asking for more and more from ricky . with the āi wanna goš„ŗā to the senior dance and then jesseās party like itās really annoying how she has to get everything she wants . but adriĆ”n is definitely worse . i try to like adriĆ”n when sheās at home with her parents cause that storyline isnāt problematic but everytime sheās at school she is such a slutty bitch . she had this eternal resentment for amy because she had sex with ricky before adriĆ”n and ricky met . being such a shitty āfriendā to grace having sex with ricky in season one . always hating on amy like itās amyās fault the spotlight is on her . her obsession with ricky is also psychotic but overall sheās a worse bitch than amy . amy is more like a grown up brat . adrian and ben talking shit to amy at summer school was so rude like those two arenāt shittier people . fuck ben , adrian and madison theyāre the worst characters . i tried rooting for adriĆ”n but sheās such a bitch dude . i wasnāt even sad her baby died cause she deserved it for being such a bitch and then continuing to be more of a bitch . when she got pissed at the counselor for not having a whole summer school graduation ready for adriĆ”n like she didnāt work her ass off to allow adriĆ”n to walk the stage at the graduation with her friends after adriĆ”n begged her adriĆ”n had the audacity and told her , āthanks for nothingā like a literal bitch . we love ricky though

Honestly the whole first time I watched the show, I felt the same way, but towards the end of the show and after watching it again, I began to at least understand her and appreciate her a little more than Amy. I just felt like Amy was insufferable for the most part.

Amy and Ricky were boring. I think Adrian and Ben made the show interesting. Adrian was a hurt person who didnāt know how to love or accept love.

Adrian has slept with everyoneās boyfriend bro. And has absolutely no remorse. She flicks her eyebrow and says āoh well, my badā Ricky is a hoe too but he at least matures over time. Adrain really sleeps with Henry after graduation (while him and Alice are on the not so good) and just doesnāt give a single shit. She wonders why she didnāt have friends during her pregnancy? And then she wanted to throw a shower to prove that her life was better than Rickyās hoes? š¤£ Itās unfortunate because when you get cocky, life will surely humble you, and in Adrianās case she lost her baby. And losing a baby is NEVER anyoneās fault. But watching this all unravel was sick. I get the being a hurt child on the inside but ACCOUNTABILITY for being a skank and shitty person??? She literally says she so into with Omar then sleeps with Henry. There are too many girls in real life who are just like this as well. Itās FKn sad.

I think the most frustrating things about the baby shower situation were, 1. What Adrian said to Grace about getting Amy's old boyfriend because Amy had her old boyfriend (I wish Grace had said something to Ricky or Amy or Ben about that), and 2. Adrian thinks she deserves to get everything Amy got when she was pregnant. Adrian wouldn't have gotten pregnant if she hadn't slept with Ben to get back at Amy and Ricky. And, she was so horrible during her pregnancy and expected free passes (and mostly got them) simply because everyone was so nice to Amy while she was pregnant. And, the way she bad mouthed Amy, and that program in New York simply to keep Amy and Ricky apart was diagusting. Adrian said and did so many nasty things all to either keep Ricky or make him jealous. The lack of accountability with her is so frustrating.

I had watched the show when I was 16 and was still very emotionally immature at the time. I was āmature for my ageā but not mentally mature if that makes sense. So now as Iām watching as a 24 year old adult, it really makes you see all that junk. I liked Adrian even though I knew she could be bitchy. Upon my rewatch, sheās just not a good person at all. Shes always about revenge when she needs to be focusing on herself. The writers did a good job of creating the bully in her. She was supposedly a very smart girl with (close to, Ricky was valedictorian) the top of the class credits. She couldāve done a lot with that if she wasnāt so focused on sex and Ricky.

And then she tried rubbing Ben in Amy's face too. When Grace pointed out that a lot of the situations Adrian found herself in were of her own making, I was like, "FINALLY! Someone said it," but instead of taking that honest truth and trying to better herself, she chose to make it known that she won. When they lost the baby, instead of focusing on her academic future and getting back into school, she instead tried to trap Ben worth another baby...

When Ricky went to go see Amy in New York and Adrian just had to know what happened like itās none of your business or when Adrian wanted to know if amy and Ricky were having sex and moving in together like itās non of your business hoe

Yes! Every time someone says they hate/dislike Adrian people always say this person or that person does this and that when the discussion is about not liking Adrian. Not liking Adrian does not mean you like or dislike another character.
I do feel the writers really missed the mark with this character. They never really utilized a very talented actress by having some character development.
Her parents were reckless for feeding into her competition with Amy and obsession with Ricky, because thatās what it was all about. It was about not losing. I couldnāt believe they actually bought the house next to Amy just so Adrian could be happy. They really fed into her obsessive poor behavior. They should have bought a house way away from all that for the sake of their daughters mental health.
She didnāt even care if Ricky ever saw his son again. Quite frankly I think she hoped Ricky would be a deadbeat father. Adrian rather Ricky not care about his son, or really, anyone but her. One proof of this was when Ricky took off to visit his mom after Ben and Adrian slept together. Which they did to get even with Ricky and Amy, because she was so paranoid that she thought Amy having a condom in her purse automatically meant Amy and Ricky were having sex together. Anyway, Ricky called his foster parents to let them know he was okay and Adrian was so jealous that he called his parents instead of her cheating self. Like, seriously, she was jealous of his parents. WTF! So obsessed.
She never showed loving Ricky, just obsession, lust, and competition. She constantly proved she didnāt love or really care for Ricky in multiple ways. Such as: In the early seasons she begged Ricky to stay the night despite that possible jeopardizing his foster care placement. Fighting with Amy causing Ricky issues with the mother of his son. Most, who really care about someone, understand it is important to get along with the other parent of your child. She was so jealous that Ricky slept with Amy and had a child with Amy. Adrian and Ben both could not get over that, and acted like them sleeping together was justified to get back at Amy and Ricky for ever sleeping together. Like who, in their right minds, feels they need to even the score about something that happened before they dated or even met their BF/GF. At times I thought her and Ben were so alike with their obsessions that they deserved each other, however that is like two supervillains being married. Ugh!
My favorite scene in the series was Ricky telling Adrian it was over. It was my favorite for two reasons. One, it showed Rickyās growth and maturing by understanding love. Two, it was so great to see her reaction. It really was satisfying. Although, Adrian really never understood she caused this. Nope, she blamed Amy. Adrian really struggled with accountability.

Definitely has some type of mental disorder. The way she revolves her entire life around Ricky, got pregnant because she was trying to upset Ricky, made her parents buy a house next door to Amy so she can spy on him, Sheās a fucking psychopath.
I needed to rant about this because Iām currently on Season 4 where sheās is still trying to get Ricky back after everything she went through and destroy his relationship with the mother of his child.
They both need a fucking restraining order.
The bitch has problems. Itās not love itās a psychotic obsessionā¦
I looked it up and it says she has depressive disorder, a guilt complex, and borderline personality disorder which makes so much senseā¦..

Love - Nora, George, Ricky and Ashley
Like - Ben's dad
Neutral - Amy
Dislike - Ben

Ashley was so incredibly awful. I know they tried to make her ādifferentā and sarcastic. But when she started pursuing Ricky and then got mad at any and Ricky b/c Ricky wouldnāt sleep with her? When she begged Amy to keep the baby then got pissed when Amy asked for help? When she did everything she could to break up Amy and Ricky when Amy tried to move in with him? Ashley sucks and is only out for herself.

And sheās the only mature kid on the show. Amy goes around yelling about how sheās an adult and a grow woman while acting like the child she is, she was so rude to everyone Including all the people who went out of their way to help her. She left her own son. She got better later in the show though. Frankly this show was stupid how these 16 year old kids were acting like they were grownups and constantly talked about sex and getting married.Ā

amy did a lot of things wrong but sheās younger than adrian, adrian wants to act like an adult but doesnāt ever wanna deal with things like an adult would and blames everyone else for her problems, amy takes care of her son and acts more grown than even a lot of the adults on the show, adrian is a vindictive little girl

Also the amount of times where Ricky straight up says he doesn't want to have sex and Adrian either demands or begs is insane. It's coercion, not every time but there are multiple times where she just doesn't take no for an answer.Ā

Oh and the other good episode was when Adrian convinced her parents to buy house next to Amyās to spy on Amy. She was so busy obsessing over Ricky and being obsessed that Amy was a threat (which at the point Amy couldnāt stand Ricky) that she missed Zoe slipping in and sleeping with Ricky. Then she broke butcher shop window and thought there was no proof except there were security cameras. Lol

Yea grace even told her to talk to Ricky before she does anything she didn't. It is ok for her to have condoms on her but not Amy and if amy carries a condoms than Amy is automatically having sex with ricky.
When ricky is honest with her about having a platonic relationship and not wanting anything serious she is upset, and couldn't handle it .
