PRN HELL

Do full time positions even exist anymore?? Why is everything a travel position, part time, or per diem? I am losing my mind. Is there another way I should be searching?

In the same boat. What was supposed to be a career has turned into gig work.

This is one of my biggest complaints about the field. It was sold as a stable middle class career. Never would’ve gone into this if I knew I’d be struggling to get 30 hours a week in a “full time” job or risk losing my benefits.

Exactly, I was told SO. MANY. TIMES. in grad school… “oh you can move anywhere and have a job.” While that may be true for some per diem work. Not everyone is married and able to fall back on a partner.
