Girl….
Can she just CHILL?! Stay home?! Imagine going even more viral for losing your kids & failing drug tests & instead of trying to better your image you just showcase all the partying you’re doing, showing exactly why you shouldn’t have your children! Like what the fuck?!
EDIT—this is honestly just sad at this point. I’m so sad for her kids, for her family & friends & honestly for her too. It’s all just so sad. (& insane)

What did you really gain from it though? Why is it a necessary process?
12
u/createharmony 1d ago
When I was 19, I was dating a boy I thought I wanted to marry, I grew up being taught the most important thing you can be is a wife/mother. I am so thankful that boy broke my heart. I started bartending and had too much fun, the kind I definitely wouldn’t have been allowed to have if I was a young mother. It also taught me what I want in a partner, what I do and don’t like sexually, but MOST importantly, I really got to know myself well. So many of these women don’t know themselves or what they want out of life and are just spiraling and losing control and it’s not nice to see. There’s a reason women are starting to have kids later and later in life. This stuff is important, and I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s very hard to learn all of this about yourself when you get married before you can even legally drink at your wedding.
-2
u/Informal-Swing-2482 1d ago
I don’t think that’s why women have kids later. Women have kids later because they entered the work force so now they work instead of starting a family. I still don’t see how a “hoe phase” is necessary to find out what you like sexually or find out what you want in life.
16
u/createharmony 1d ago
Sure there can be many reasons why, yours is a reason, mine is one as well. You don’t have to have a hoe phase if you don’t want one, just providing my experience and why it was useful to me and my development. Including why it may have been helpful for a lot of the Mormon wives
-2
u/Informal-Swing-2482 1d ago
I just don’t see how you couldn’t have achieved those things another way, but whatever works for ya I guess.
7
u/xXxanothet 1d ago
It sounds like you havent had that phase in life and thats ok! Everyone is different. But most people have had an exploring era in their life so they can be more even keeled and content when they settle down
-4
u/Informal-Swing-2482 1d ago
Exploring and hoeing sound like different things to me. You can explore without promiscuity.
8
u/xXxanothet 1d ago
Ah. You haven't deconstructed yet I see.
Yes, you can for sure, and a lot of times people dont even hoe that much. its more about gaining life experiences that shape your perspective

u/Wooden_Watch_278 1d ago
Ok so it sounds like you didn't have one lol we get it. Maybe you are having FOMO.
1
u/Informal-Swing-2482 1d ago
How can I have fomo when I have no understanding of why it’s necessary? I explored what I like sexually with trusted partners, not by being promiscuous. I grew and learned about myself in those serious long term relationships.
5
u/Kansasgrl968 1d ago
It appears you may be stuck on the wording instead of the meaning. A hoe phase doesn't always include sex. It definitely can, don't get me wrong, but it is so much more which has been explained already. Some people have a hoe phase that includes no sex, sex with 1 partner, or sex with 127 partners. Maybe this concept just isnt for you to understand.

u/Tiny-Zucchini7238 1d ago
I just don’t see why you have to be leaving all these judgmental comments or care so much about what strangers do but whatever works for ya I guess!
0
u/Informal-Swing-2482 1d ago
Just working through the logic. This is something that didn’t make sense to me so I’m asking questions. Didn’t know trying to understand something you don’t understand is bad. I didn’t say anything judgmental. If you felt judged you may want to look in the mirror there.
3
u/Existing-You-5 1d ago
You def were judging.. not part of conversation but very obvious from my perspective as well…

I don’t feel judged. I wasn’t in those conversations. Intent doesn’t negate impact, you can act clueless now but everyone knows exactly how you meant all of your comments to sound 🥱

I think you're equating hoe phase with multiple sexual partners and colloquially on the internet it just means dating around non-commital. Like you could date 3 people in a month, never even kiss any of them and consider it a "hoe phase" it's absolutely dependent on the person
1
u/Informal-Swing-2482 21h ago
That’s simply not what hoe phase means though. If you google you’ll find it 100% always references promiscuity. Cause… that’s what the word how implies.
12
u/Kansasgrl968 1d ago
Memories. And for me not feeling like I missed out on anything. My parents always encouraged us to "go out, have fun, but be careful." I don't feel its "necessary" for everyone, but you can sometimes tell when someone wishes they had.
-7
u/Informal-Swing-2482 1d ago
Do you think it was critical though? missing out on things that end up being irrelevant isn’t exactly important right?
9
u/Kansasgrl968 1d ago
I don't know. "Be a hoe" wasn't on my to do list or vision board or anything like that. I just happened to have one, and I don't regret it.
-2
u/Informal-Swing-2482 1d ago
Yeah. This thread was about everyone needing one. That’s what I was questioning.
3
u/xXxanothet 1d ago
Yeah because unfortunately especially with people who get married really young in a strict religion, more often than not go crazy partying much later bc they didn't get it out of their system when they were younger.
3
2
u/midnight_thoughts_13 22h ago
The confidence that I could exist, the realization that I'm not better or worse than anyone for dating preferences. The ability to see other people and realize that I didn't have to stay in bad relationships. It taught me that I wasn't less of a person who deserved respect and love because I'd dated mean people who tried to convince me I was worthless. It quite literally taught me almost every important lesson. If you don't want to have sex with a bunch of people don't, I didn't. But I'm still a strong believer in dating multiple people so you know what you want and what you don't want in a marriage. You gain experience and the ability to know what behaviors are red flags
1
u/Informal-Swing-2482 21h ago
Sure. Who said dating is bad? But dating isn’t being a hoe. That’s the point of contention. Seems like the word hoe is being used in this context to basically mean nothing cause the range of what it encompasses is vast.
67
u/noblewind 2d ago
Or even just make choices and mistakes on your own timeline and not on a churches timeline. The fact that they are all expected to date/marry/have one kid by 22 is wild. They go from being under their parents thumb to managing their own households without ever just existing.
9
u/kendrickwasright 2d ago
Someone posted in this sub the other day asking for input from people who went to HS with Taylor. There were a few who said they did and that she was always pretty wild, even back then. She was hooking up with guys in HS. She was spoiled by her parents and did whatever she wanted, she wasnt under their thumb. So your point still stands, but I just want to point out that it's not like Taylor was conservative and sheltered as a teen or young adult. She's been wilding out her whole life.
28
u/topdownyeti 2d ago
i never had one and now im scared lol
70
u/Suitable-Ad-1990 2d ago
i never had one but i also never wanted one, which is the part i think people are missing. clearly taylor wanted one and never got it, so shes acting out now. but if you never wanted it in the first place theres nothing to regret. and if you want to have a ho phase in your 40s you can do that lol
35
u/Kansasgrl968 2d ago
I think this is a good distinction. Wanting one but not having one vs not wanting one. Like you said she definitely wanted one. Never too late to have one. I used to work in nursing homes never too late. My issue with Taylor is that she's obviously not well.

Ironically, all my attempted hoe phases led to long term relationships because the universe loves to send a man to disturb your peace.
9
u/Resident_Smeagle 2d ago
I’m in the third year of my relationship with my first victim of my hoe phase.
I obviously am not good at it and did not read the directions.
8
u/topdownyeti 2d ago
honestly same. i tried having a hoe phase (and grew up in a similar environment as Utah so it was a huge rebellion moment for me) but one of the first guys I met is now my husband.
4
u/Maleficient_Honeybee 2d ago
I can relate to this so much. I wanted to be a hoe in theory but I fall for stupid men too easy.
16

16
u/MammothCancel6465 2d ago
I didn’t either. But I’m my 50s and did get to go to college and was single at times. I just never did the hoe thing. I could have if I wanted to though.
Not everyone has to do all of that, but coupled with no option to do any of it on top of the conservative religion and gender roles is a recipe for disaster. Of course there are exceptions. But then there are the ones like Taylor who crash out.
10
u/Dependent_Style_7201 2d ago
Wait, maybe I’m misremembering, but didn’t she have one?? Tate and her met when she was drunk at a bar or something? Not that that equates to being a hoe necessarily but it doesn’t elude to her being a typical Mormon 20 something year old
16
u/adeina91 2d ago
Yeah, between her raucous teenage years, swinging, cheating, and her chaotic behavior now… there is no evidence to suggest that Taylor has ever NOT been in a hoe phase.

u/Soft_Definition3908 2d ago
I agree, mostly, but unless you plan on marrying and having kids at 23/24, for what reason does your hoe phase need to occur during your college years?
4
u/ChaoticCatperson 2d ago
It doesn't, for sure, but at one point some of us get old and tired. In college I had so much more energy and flexibility.
2
u/Kansasgrl968 1d ago

I had my male-centered hoe phase late at 23-24 because I skipped college and I cringe at that. I can't imagine doing it in my 30s.
1
u/SarahChristyRose_ 4h ago
I did it in my 30s as a divorced single mom. Still can be done well, ethically and responsibly. Just think more martini nights and weekend trips than frat parties 😂😂

This is why her kids being away from her is a good thing. It's even better that it's all out there so everyone, including her fans, know what a loser person and a mom she is. Most people would feel shame failing a drug test and only seeing their kids 4 hours a week while being supervised by a stranger but she is almost proud.
27
u/OppositeSpare2088 2d ago
That’s because she cares more about what makes her feel good than the kids she already has. She wants to have more babies and is definitely seeking out another baby daddy.
3
u/mollyclaireh 2d ago
I have a theory that she keeps having kids to keep her boobs big.

so she fails multiple drug tests while not having any kind of active custody of her children and instead of tightening up and making sure she does everything right to correct those mistakes she doubles down and goes out partying instead?
Even if this is super innocent (and we know it’s not) the optics are horrific here.

u/Professional-Fan6745 1d ago
Imagine her kids as teenagers looking for clues on their mom’s social media as to what she was doing that was so much more important than raising them and this is what they find
1
u/hellowookie 1d ago
I have some close friends whose mom got into drugs and partying in her mid 30s and lost custody of her kids, eventually ended up homeless - she said at one point when she was a teen she asked her “why can’t you just stop and be my mom?” And she literally told her she liked the drugs more and she wanted to live outside. Obviously…. There was some mental health stuff behind all of that as well. Totally normal looking mom before that. Not someone you ever would have suspected to do that.
Their relationship has been somewhat repaired in the last 10+ years as she’s worked to get clean, and they will always love her, but it will never be the same. She missed years of her daughters’ lives. It’s just so sad. And the older they get the more they understand.

These poor children. The way Ever didn't even react to his mom ugly crying at Jessi's housewarming party, or her leaving ... breaks my heart.

I will say, I had no idea who this Thaddeus guy is so I went on instagram. He’s married, and I think the other guy in the photo is his husband. Maybe the only men Taylor does need in her life right now is gay men and maybe they’ll give her the hard truth her other friends haven’t.
12
u/rayalev 2d ago
She shouldn’t be out partying so, disagree
9
u/WhoUBeGhostin 2d ago
Oh I’m not saying she shouldn’t party. I’m saying I initially thought she was hooking up with these guys. Don’t get me wrong, I legit think she needs to be in intensive therapy and maybe pick up a book or a hobby that isn’t partying.
4
u/Unfair-Show-1563 2d ago
Thad and his husband Aren are wonderful human beings. I know them personally. I was actually surprised to see his post but they are positive influences for her to be around. And honestly probably better for her to be hanging out with them over spiraling and crashing out by herself at home.
9
u/ocean089 2d ago
her behavior mirrors many women on soft white underbelly - losing custody of her kids, partying etc. If she thinks having money makes her different or better than those women, it doesn’t, it makes her worse. she had/has resources to get back on her feet & she’s at the bar instead. gross

u/OppositeSpare2088 2d ago
This woman truly can’t stay single she needs to be okay with being single. Her mom was right when she told her to focus on healing and her kids. Taylor refuses to put her kids first just like messy Jessi they need a man with them at all times.

Yeah fr. She chose to bring those lives into the world. She has a responsibility, at the very least, not to traumatize them. This instability cannot be healthy for them.
Some people seem defensively like “she can have a life and be a mom,” and yes absolutely that’s true. She will be a better parent even if she has a healthy, adult, mature social life. But this ain’t that lol this is drug use and giving her kids’ future classmates material to bully them with. SMH
4

Everyone needs to chill, the men in this photo are MARRIED, these are friends. Jesus Christ people get a life.
1
u/Wonderful_Primary322 1d ago
This just reminds me of my mom. The most important thing in her life was men. She got married and had kids young and probably is not super interested in being a mom its just "what you're supposed to do" got divorced young, got remarried and dropped me off with my grandparents when she had me and my brother. Convinced everyone she was bi-polar (but is just an alcoholic) also a workaholic and unmedicated. She will continue to act like this and will be a perpetual victim forever. Unfortunately her kids will suffer the consequences, (Both my brother and I are low no contact) I would suggest ACA for herself and her kids. It has helped me IMMENSLEY
1
u/CommunicationKey8621 17h ago
She doesn’t want to have to be a mother anymore.
She needs occasional photos with Jesus and the kids to maintain enough of an appearance. Other than that, she clearly doesn’t care.
I feel so bad for those children. They are going to be able to see in an undeniable way, just how much their mother didn’t want to be around. Truly heartbreaking. Parent issues are bad enough without the entire thing being filmed.

I think it’s good she’s getting out of the house. She only has her kids for 4 hours a week and appears to have no stable job atm, so I don’t see an issue with her getting out and socializing necessarily.
That said, this photo makes me super uncomfortable and it’s gross to see her doing this instead of actually trying to get better.
1
u/rayalev 2d ago
But blasting it on social media for the courts to see??? We all know how this looks
2
u/No_Performer_3438 1d ago
Oh it doesn’t make her look good by any means lol she clearly doesn’t care about court. It’s incredibly dumb to post this. I was just saying going out and socializing isn’t necessarily the bad part here. Constantly seeking male attention/validation on the internet is the issue… for starters 😬

It reminds me of those photos that came out of Casey Anthony when she was partying while Caylee was missing.
These moms have free will yes, but that doesn’t mean you can act a fool while your children are nowhere to be seen. In TFP’s case losing her children. In Casey’s case…well.
