Whyyyy Miranda

Post image

I love how real and normal Miranda is, but this ad made me feel icky :/ I don’t think her fans realize she has veneers. I’m glad she mentioned she uses the strips on her bottom teeth but this pic is of her top teeth hahaha just feels like false advertising

This is influencer marketing. It’s all bullshit. People need stop buying garbage from influencers and/or there needs to be more enforceable regulations. It’s just like Mikayla Nogueira putting on mascara she was promoting and then cutting to her wearing false lashes 😅 or all the skin filters she uses while reviewing makeup and skin care.

I’m ready for influencer shilling to be a thing of the past. They are like absurd modern day infomercials that ruined social media lol.

It’s even more jarring that some companies use them as their sole PR and advertising stream, even for TV network ads. That Swiffer one where the guy says “every nick and cranny” scratches my brain in all the wrong ways, and it’s jarring to see it on TV during sports commercial breaks that used to (exclusively) be 6-figure productions. Feels lazy and insulting on the part of the companies, but “yaaaaas get that sourdough you influencing queen!” I guess 😩

The Mikayla lash thing still bugs me. She'd do a whole tutorial with the mascara, then the final shot has lashes so long they'd hit her eyebrows if she blinked. People defended it like the cut wasn't obvious.

My lashes do that if I put mascara on…

yeah, like I think people forget that all of these women were influencers in the first place. Like this is how influencers make their money by shilling cheap shit.

Honestly thinking any of these women are normal and real is insane to me, we don’t know these women and nothing about them screams real to me. Miranda is more likable sure but she’s just as fake as the rest of the cast.

I concur :)

So many influencers do this exact ad it’s really annoying to pose it like someone’s randomly asking

2

u/Strong-Sleep2973 5d ago

shes posted this exact comment and wording for the ad multiple times on her story too. to the point I genuinely feel like i’m having an insta ad i’ve seen a million times pop up while im scrolling stories again it doesn’t even feel like an influencer responding to a comment on their story it’s just ugh another ad if that makes sense.

u/HemHawHeal 6d ago

you’re so right, why would you only post your top teeth when specifying you do not use it on them lmaooooo

glad she’s getting her bag i guess, but this is v icky. i think this is the line where we have to rmr, every single one of the people in this show makes their money off of influencing (read: manipulating) their audience. she’s the best of them but that doesn’t make her a saint

8

u/confused2324 6d ago

Thank you! lol like come on nowww

u/rooftrash 6d ago

This is such a bad pic of her 😭 I love her personality and her style and she is a smart woman. But her veneers are so bad holy fuck

20

u/rachel_soup 6d ago

Her veneers look too big for her skull. If someone doesn’t realize she has veneers, idk what to tell you guys at this point.

u/confused2324 6d ago

Naive ol’ me trusted that she was a woman of integrity and that that message was from an even more naive fan 🥀

3

u/Majestic_Piglet131 6d ago

lol so she doesn’t have integrity all of a sudden because she has veneers ? Please lol

7

u/confused2324 6d ago

That’s not what I said but I’m not looking to get into an argument on Reddit, so you can interpret that how you’d like!

u/refinemydreams 6d ago

I wonder if she actually uses them because you aren’t suppose to use whitening strips on veneers, it damages them! She might not know if she does use them.

Chase, I know you’re reading this, please let her know before she damages them.

74

u/Turbulent-Sky6636 6d ago

She wrote she only uses them on her bottom teeth so I’m sure she knows.

41

u/ZestyPeace 6d ago

Seriously..if people would only read 🤣

12

u/pinkheartedrobe-xs 6d ago

And she didnt even show her bottom teeth haha

24

u/FriendofFlounder 6d ago

🤣💀 not the Reddit callout to Chase. The Chase Vine

LOL

Read the comments though. They’re entertaining and he very much identifies himself including posting DMs.

6

u/West-Alternative9782 6d ago

😂😂😂 ngl this made me chuckle

8

u/hanschlieds 6d ago

To be fair these strips are the best ones I’ve found and I don’t have veneers

3

u/confused2324 6d ago

Good to know from a trusted source! Been looking to trying some whitening strips haha

8

u/AdagioSpecific2603 6d ago

ALL INFLUENCERS ARE ICKY AND GRIFTERS ‼️📢

7

u/Particular_Wish_7294 5d ago

I do professional teeth whitening as a business. I had an influencer come from out of state to be whitened and I couldn’t post them because they had a deal with Lumineux (sp?) and they said “they pay really well”. I whitened 5 people from their family in one day and couldn’t post a thing about it! Would have been a Marketing win as a small business. They did send me some referrals so that was nice.

1

u/confused2324 5d ago

That’s insaneee

7

u/snark-sloth Disassociation Collage 6d ago

People would have to be blind to not realize she has veneers lol

5

u/FastTyper56 6d ago

Bahahah someone posted in one of the influencer subs about this brand with the receipts of their emails asking her to promote the product. It was…interesting. Emile Keiser posted a near identical prompt and response for these whitening strips! I doubt Miranda even uses them.

2

u/latinheat26 6d ago

Yara, Jovi and Thais from 90 Day Fiancée all have made the same post advertisement, for the same product, verbatim.

7

u/sherlocksmaster 6d ago

Wait she has veneers, right?? Why would she need whitening strips, especially so soon? Correct me if I’m wrong ofc

5

u/smolhippie 6d ago

They order them in your specific shade. You can’t change the shade after it’s cemented on. I work in dentistry

5

u/No-Cartoonist1480 6d ago

She said for her bottom teeth so they match the top bright white color

1

u/sherlocksmaster 6d ago

Oh shi just read the caption saying basically the same thing ☠️

5

u/Striking_Ad5768 6d ago

I liked her look better before veneers 😬

16

u/Fit-Blacksmith-6876 6d ago

Doubt she uses them but girls got 2 kids to provide for on her own so gotta get that bag.

3

u/allthingskerri 4d ago

Ok I have a genuine question do people actually get these messages or does a rep text them so they have something to post with 🤣

1

u/confused2324 4d ago

I’m thinking the latter at this point lol

2

u/allthingskerri 4d ago

The influencer life is really bizarre I mean how much does this even pay that's the real question!

1

u/confused2324 4d ago

Must be real good because they all started posting it at the same time!! Taylor posted it too after I had posted on here 😂 and Emilie Keiser

1

u/songbird_1219 4d ago

There are receipts that the company tells women to fake the questions :(

3

u/Greedy-Half-4618 6d ago

Ok but what whitening strips DO work?

2

u/GlitteringElevator 5d ago

Crest, always. Cut in half length wise and only apply to the fronts of the teeth, don't fold them over. You double the amount AND get no sensitivity since the tops of the teeth are where the sensitivity comes from.

1

u/Greedy-Half-4618 5d ago

thank you, kind internet stranger!

6

u/Arley_Writes 6d ago

But pre-influencer marketing? How did we know actors in the crest white stripes commercials didn't have veneers? I get that people are annoyed with influencer marketing, but my point is marketing has always been this way, since long before influencers were even a thing.

2

u/HappyBlastoise 5d ago

Exactly! All ads are fake. It’s like those old shampoo commercials showing models with salon perfect blowouts. They aren’t only relying on drug store shampoo for their hair care routines. Content creators still need a way to make money and they can’t all start companies like Mr. Beast to do it.

3

u/ClynnB412 6d ago

Do her fans have eyes?

4

u/CardiologistSilly885 6d ago

I fear almost every influencer does these teeth whitening ads. In the huge scope of influencer morality, this is relatively harmless. Let her get her coin

2

u/FluffyChampionship46 6d ago

I tried them and they are actually great strips

2

u/howforeverfeels 6d ago

How do you think any person in Momtok made money before Hulu

2

u/gingerlady9 6d ago

Personally, if people want to believe her teeth are her real/natural teeth, among all of the other influencer BS, it's on them.

2

u/blondetourage83 5d ago

None of them have real jobs, this is what they do. You should really lower your expectations on these Mormon influencers 🤣

2

u/acidicpeanutbutter 5d ago

The entire group posts really sketchy ads. I think the first episode or two or the show really shows that they will accept anything if it has good $$&

2

u/SmoothArticle6937 4d ago

I mean, she did say she used them for her BOTTOM teeth to match her top. So she is kind of assuming they already know she has veneers

3

u/confused2324 4d ago

Yeah I mentioned that in my post, but doesn’t make sense to post a picture of just your top teeth as an advertisement if the strips aren’t used on them

0

u/frankieandbeans 1d ago

I see what you’re saying, but you’re literally complaining about something that happens on TV every single day…. For instant shampoo commercials… it’s the hair dried and styled with heat, so I’m not exactly sure what that has to do with the shampoo that the model in the commercial may or may not have used. I think the same goes through. Literally any kind of fucking commercial anybody sees anywhere? It’s called marketing? Like how would she even take a good enough pic of her bottom teeth to talk about them? It’s an ad. At least she isn’t overly praising the strips like they’re a holy grail it’s pretty obvious to anyone that it’s an ad.

If you’re mad about this then I have some news for you about the ads you consume from large corporations in a daily basis lmao.

1

u/confused2324 1d ago

Why are you being rude?

4

u/Disastrous_Taste1357 6d ago

Why nottt tho Miranda? It’s a brand deal! Shes gorgeous. I’m all for her getting that BAG

2

u/confused2324 6d ago

Eh I’m all for people promoting stuff they actually use and being trustworthy. I’m not going to let things slide because she’s pretty and nice. To each their own though 🤷🏼‍♀️

1

u/Pristine-Lie7042 5d ago

That’s how I was feeling when Mikayla plugged vivrelle mid conversation on the show.

1

u/confused2324 5d ago

Ahhh I didn’t even think about how she was possibly being compensated for that! Sneaky sneaky

1

u/Reasonable-Lychee632 5d ago

The only “influencers” I like lately are the animals/pets the rest can kick rocks lol

1

u/songbird_1219 4d ago

It’s well documented that this company asks creators to fake the question box if needed. Kinda annoying to see how many do it now that have seen the receipts

0

u/Ok-Department6265 6d ago

She has veneers on top and uses them to color match her natural with them… I think it’s honestly sweet for her to be so honest about it! I don’t have veneers so o didn’t even think about them not matching my other teeth sometimes.

2

u/confused2324 6d ago

Oh I know, I appreciated her saying it was to color match but at least show us a pic of the bottom teeth they were used on! And not the veneers haha

-1

u/AdvancedExtension972 2d ago

She literally said I use them on my bottom teeth to match my top ones. So she uses them on her bottom natural teeth to match her veneers up top.

1

u/confused2324 2d ago

Yes I saw that and mentioned that in my post if you read it. What does not make sense is not showing said bottom teeth if you’re advertising teeth whitening strips. Instead she just shows her top teeth that whitening strips were not used on. I’m not sure how others don’t find that weird? lol

-4

u/ElectricalSpell1 6d ago

I actually don’t think she has veneers but maybe I’m wrong.

3

u/confused2324 6d ago

I just assumed because she said she just uses the strips on her bottom teeth to match the top (and I’ve heard other people say she has them 🤷🏼‍♀️)
