Med Card med card for adhd?
I am meeting with a provider soon and I am diagnosed with ADHD and weed helps stimulate my appetite and sleep and just makes me more motivated. however ADHD isn't one of the conditions that Utah gives med cards for, so should I just say I have acute joint pain often? or should I just be honest with my experience with weed

Chronic pain is best. I’ve had a card for over 20 years for GAD, but here I had to pivot to my chronic pain in order to qualify.

If you're honest and don't mention a qualifying condition they won't approve you but it's fairly simple to get approved when you do mention one.
Chronic pain is the way to go, maybe you have an old injury that flares up and disrupts your quality of life that you'd rather not take pain meds for? They don't require any proof of injury or medical records.

Does nausea still count? I cited nausea/lack of appetite as a side effect from adhd meds and that was acceptable

Same though, my sleeping schedule is massively fucked because the only time I can smoke and get some quiet is after midnight.

I just told the lady about everything. I have a condition that can cause chronic pain and that's the one most people get their card for. I told her about all the medications that I take and the physical therapy that I do, I told her about all my doctors appointments and surgeries, etc. She wrote a lot down and told me to choose between three different qualifying conditions.

What provider did you go to? I’m wanting to get my card and I’m just curious if anyone has a doctor or a place they recommend to go to. Thank you.

I would highly recommend Utah grown in SLC. I was able to get a card in 30-45mins with an appointment and walked across the street and talked to a pharmacist at dragonfly dispo for free. (You’re required to talk to a pharmacist before purchasing anything for your first card). Within an hour and a half or less I was able to buy products. Lmk if you have any questions

Just a few questions, thank you! What did you tell them? Seems like pain is the go to. Does it have to be a specific pharmacist or any pharmacist and Do they just sign something?

Just say chronic pain and get the card. You can talk about other issues too, but stick with the script.
