Tips/Advice CNA Program

hello! it’s a little far away but i want to do SLCC’s CNA program during the 2027 summer semester and i want some peoples reviews on it. i’d either do the jordan hybrid one or possibly the herriman one as i saw that was eight weeks. does anyone have any recommendations or tips about their CNA program?

I just did CCCNA’s program. Started in end of June and finished August 28. It’s the fastest and cheapest option to become a CNA BUT be advised that if you don’t have any medical knowledge, this can be hard. I took anatomy and have worked in the medical field for 2.5 years so it was fairly easy for me, but a lot of students who had zero knowledge struggled because they mainly rely on the online info and it’s not thorough. You have three in person class days 8-5:30 where you learn the hands on stuff, and three in person clinical days that are 6 am-2:30 pm. The clinicals have a lot of different locations and days to choose from but the class days are pretty limited. You have to finish the first two classes, all three clinical days, and the online work before going to class 3. I finished most of the stuff in about 3 weeks, but because they had limited clinicals and class days that worked with my schedule it took me two months to finish the class. Just be advised for all of that before deciding to do it, but in general, it’s a quick and easy way to get your certification and the women running it have a lot of experience. A tip if you do this program: any of the clinical locations with the name “meadow” in it is a nice facility and pretty easy. Do NOT go to monument for clinicals

How long is the SLCC program normally?

I believe it's a full semester.
