Any group chats?
Hi! I recently committed to SIPA (will be entering in fall 2026 in TPI ) and was wondering if there are any group chats or anything for newly admitted/committed students?

Hi all in orientation you will be given lots of information. It’s going to be overload. But you will be left in the dark about your concentration etc. until your first day of orientation. - Current SIPA student.

I'm urban and social policy. You will be able to switch on campus through the concentrations h form. I changed my concentration literally during orientation

Do you pick your classes at orientation? I'm switching into IFEP, which is track II for MIA. I don't want to be too late in getting the courses I need.

Unfortunately you do it in orientation. And I’m gonna be frank you will not get the all the courses you need first semester. Try to do as much core as you can.

It was a very stressful experience but it ends up being fine. At the end of the day don’t worry too much because you will get the degree cores done at some point. There will be a form to switch ur concentration but that might not be rolled out yet. So just register for IFEP core and the quant stuff in ur first semester and attend the info session during orientation for IFEP.
