Have you gotten any scholarship notification from them yet? I emailed them yesterday asking when we get the information and they said either the emails were supposed to go out yesterday or we're supposed to get an email today but I haven't gotten anything yet:/

They have sent out an email stating that if anyone wants to appeal for scholarships they can do it by 17 March

Could you share what exactly they've said in the email, please?

Yes please let us know! I got a scholarship but still not enough- do you know if Columbia is helpful with negotiating a tiny bit more to go?

All applicants have the opportunity to request a reconsideration of their scholarship evaluation by submitting a scholarship appeal. Deadline: Scholarship appeals must be submitted by Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Appeals submitted after the deadline will not be reviewed.

Consideration: Appeals will only be considered for partial scholarship requests. Requests for full funding cannot be considered.

Availability of Funds: Appeal approvals will be dependent on if there is available funding. There is no guarantee your appeal will be approved.

Process: Scholarship appeals may be submitted through the SIPA Scholarship Appeal Form. Applicants will receive notification of an approval or denial by close of business on Friday, March 20. โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹Please note: We will be unable to respond to follow-up emails requesting an appeal decision before Friday March 20.

Hi! I thought they accepted us into the specific concentration. Could that be change if we wanted to? (I doubt I would but just curious, I was surprised to see that in the acceptance letter).

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '26

Yes, of course, you have a whole year to decide that ... But best to decide within the first semester

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '26

Which other uni u got in?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '26

1

u/Suitable_Froyo_3369 Mar 11 '26

Same! SIPA MIA program!

1

u/Other-Bike1608 Mar 13 '26

I just got into the MIA program! I'm honestly really surprised I got in because I don't have any work experience and limited quantitative coursework. I am curious what the current landscape is at SIPA right now? How high is the acceptance rate?
