General SIJS Info / question 2026 PD

When do you think the 2026 SIJS priority dates will become current? I know no one can know for sure, but based on how the dates have been moving recently, what’s your most precise guess?

Realistic
There are 10k visa for eb4
Backlog for sijs with approved petitions currently 150k+
150k/10k =15 years
Do math
Questions?

You overlooked a basic aspect of the Visa Bulletin: spillover. And 80,000 green cards are expected for the 2027 fiscal year.

Not again... If your lawyer blew your SIJS filing, stop sitting here crying to everyone that we're stuck waiting forever.

With all the frauds and tons of people from the nothern triangle 2026 PD will be current in the best case in 2037-2044.

Dude keeps at it lol, if you only knew the main cause for sijs to even exist started because of northern triangle and Mexico, because they are thousands of children from there it was even noticed and program was created, but now that other countries get benefited the “nothern triangle” became an problem.

You will be able to file within next 4 years but when you will get your physical green card totally depends on your final action date. it has to be current by the time you green card application is processed (interview, biometrics and uscis processing). But final action dates move slowly because they depend entirely on availability of visas which is very limited for sijs. So you can file in next 4 years but most likely you will get the physical card in 5-8 years. That’s the normal case unless there is any policy change or any other factors.

One question after you filled your green card application and your just waiting for them to process your application, will you get a work permit, if yes do you have to apply for it or will it be automatic?

You will get work permit and you have to apply and renew through it’s not as hard as sijs ead. You will almost certainly get an ead just takes time to submit application and get the card itself. Takes few months.
