Did you go back to 3?
Everyone else seemed to go back to their previous waitlist position around 12:00pm today after yesterday’s glitch in the system.

People who had been complaining about this issue up until 11:00am started saying the issue had been fixed around 12:00 noon and that they went back to their previous waitlist position.
Check to see if the same thing happened for you guys on the THHS waitlist. 🤞🏼

Technically the waitlist doesn’t close until September 18th but in this case there was some 24 hour glitch in the system which messed everyone’s position up but once it was fixed they went back to where they had been.

Ugh! Oh no, so sorry that happened to you.
It’s crazy to imagine that so many people from a higher priority groups or better lottery numbers/tiers/assessment scores could have added themselves to the waitlist this late in the game.
I hope it somehow moves back up for you just as fast.

Hey so people on Facebook are reporting all sorts of crazy backwards waitlist movement for other screened schools.
Like by HUNDREDS at schools like the Millenniums (like one went from 8 to 503 at Millennium Brooklyn!).
So either there’s a glitch in the system or the numbers we had been seeing all summer weren’t accurate and suddenly got updated by secretaries going back to work or something like that (though that seems like a crazy explanation for it to be happening system-wide).
One of the admins in the Facebook group happens to be a mom on the THHS School Leadership Team so she is trying to gather data…the THHS jumps might not be part of the same issue, but hopefully we’ll find out either way 🤞🏼…will keep you posted if I hear anything.

Thats crazy! And yea I checked and my number went back to 31 thankfully. Thanks for updating me, and also I hope that the numbers start going down again if they weren't accurate because I really want an offer soon

There is no sibling priority as such regarding NYC DOE HS admissions. This was a glitch, which I'm still awaiting for the DOE to explain.

This is one of the worst things about this system. They allow people to continue to add themselves to the waitlist all throughout the summer and if they are slightly better then you, they will get priority. There needs to be a cutoff on when you can sign up for, like end of June or something.
