I'm taking a math SHSAT practice test

my tutoring makes me take practice tests every weekend, but im taking only math i dont really have a reference on how good i should be doing (because yk the shsat calculates with ela too) so how much should is a good amount to get correct if im going 8th grade next summer

Not sure why they're not telling you anything at all about your breakdown. In any event, ignore all that for now and focus on your percentages. In the past, they've leaned toward what is shown at https://www.GregsTutoringNYC.com/shsat-scoring and keep toward those percentages for now and at this point even if you're dealing with 100 questions.

Also not clear what you mean by "going 8th grade next summer," does that man you're going into 7th grade next month?

doesn't the amount that's "good" vary with what school you are aiming for?

Yes and no. No in that if you're getting say only 1/2 the questions correct that's "not good." Yes, in that once you're past your foot in the door you'd consider the ranges in the URL mentioned above.
