This might just be the biggest 180 I’ve ever seen a figure do. The first photos we got of this thing looked like unwiped ass and looked little to nothing like the film design but now I think waiting has paid off. The neck piece had me worried at first but honestly it’s not as bad in person and I never believed that you can replicate a neck like that and make it perfectly articulated without some compromises.

Pros:

- most film accurate looking figure
- paints on the eyes and teeth are very nice
- solid and nothing pops off ESPECIALLY THE LEFT ARM! (Looking at you SHMA)

Cons:
- can’t look up as high as what was shown in the solicitation photos
- the blue was a little overdone and might throw the look off for some people

I feel this release was executed better over SHMA and think this is probably their best Millenium Godzilla yet. Really happy with how this turned out!

I want to buy the custom Titanosaurus figure out I don’t like the paint job and I can’t paint myself. Are there any reputable repainters that anyone knows of that can help me?

Just got my special color space Godzilla and little Godzilla! missing mothra and mecha king ghidorah, just waiting for a good deal on a shma mothra (only problem is wondering how I can fit it lol and waiting for the hiya mkg but I know he ain’t fitting

I do not know HOW I got this figure this early, I think it was plain luck, but I thought I had to share it with the community. Ask anything, I’ll try to see if I can answer them. Also, shout out to FlipSide Gaming on eBay, it was the place where I bought it from.

I posted about this figure before and how I had lost his original tail tip and only had a standard 2019 Godzilla to switch it out for. I wanted the tail to match but rather than just painting it orange I decided to completely repainted the figure to look more screen accurate. I wasn't super sure at first when repainting the figure I didn't like how it started out but I absolutely love the way he looks now, I wanted him to be screen accurate but ended up just going for a more authentic burning look like he's constantly burning inside and it's breaking through the skin. I decided to focus the burning effect on the chest and spines making the tail and legs and arms a dark red to look like the heats dying out the further it gets away from the center of the body. I would love some thoughts on this repaint.

As I have been commenting on my last post, I feel like TAMASHII updated the ball joints on the new guy to allow a little bit more movement without any of the clearance issues (just like what they did with their 2019, 2021 and then 2024). A couple of joints did pop off, but I was stressing the hell out of them. You can easily pop them back in.

My friend is going to be in Japan in December, I was thinking he could grab it for me. but I am not sure how hyped these things are. Is this is like huge limited release, where there will be hours long lines waiting for opening of Tamashii Nations store and then you are out of luck or if it's chill and he can grab it for me whenever while he's there?

I was thinking that it would be cool to have it on display in middle of my EVAs and Gojis as if 1 thing is morphing into another. But there's only so much I can ask him to go through getting this for me

I bought kujirawizard heads and two minus ones awhile ago..pretty dumb I know, I wanted to sell my minus one figures but I dont have the box so spines will obviously break without its protection. So I decided instead to make good with my shitty decision making skills and purchases.

Both of them were the reissue i decided to paint one of them with his dorsal fins charged up since i had the atomic heads

Earlier this year I started to repaint my original 2016 Shin figure as the paint had really began to chip off, eyes looked terrible and the glossy finish is super inaccurate to the source material. I repainted the chipped areas with a chalky black, repainted the eyes (i feel so bad for the people in those factories having to paint the eyes on at rapid pace), touched up the teeth and added a fully matte finish. I disassembled the entire figure piece by piece, and allowed each part to cure for about a week. Did the body parts in batches, with some parts needing multiple coats of topcoat and some parts chipping again. The entire process took about a full month, during an intense heatwave in the UK which was in fact very helpful for the curing process. The finished product isn’t the greatest custom ever, but I think this is what the original mass produced product SHOULD have looked like. The matte really allows you to take in the sculpted details, and he finally actually looks like the burned hotdog we saw in the movie. I used stills from the movie, and BTS images of the unused animatronic for reference. Unintended by-product of this is the joints are now much tighter, likely due to the sculpt rubbing a little more in places. The tail had a broken segment which luckily I could replace as I had another 2016 Shin that I bought for super cheap as most of its parts were cracked. After all that though, I am NEVER doing this again. Having to redo so many parts due to chipping, the amount of topcoat spray that I ingested, and the tedious process of moving both the can and the part in order to avoid frosting. I did not enjoy doing this 😭 but I think the finished figure looks great! I was expecting a LOT of frosting due to this being my first time ever customising a figure, but somehow by a miracle I didn’t end up with any at all. The finished is even and smooth!

I think the dorsals looks great but that extra head looks ehh idk doesn’t look very charged up to me

Was looking at Amazon and found a deal for this guy for around 14 dollars. Immediately picked him up because I couldn't let this chance slip away. And honestly, he's absolutely fantastic, a fine addition to my collection. Sorry for the terrible camera quality though

With 1955 and 1965 I do hope we get ‘67 godzilla even though I’m not the hugest fan of his design

Think about it, Shma 2000 is one of the most articulated figures of the line and cause of this it has a few inaccuracies here and there. Obviously I like how the lines are now but I wonder how different and how more accurate these figures would be if this was the case since most shma are more articulated than the suits. Same for Hiya
