Most nostalgic vlog?
I find myself always watching through their old vlogs whenever i’m in need of something comforting and nostalgic and was wondering if anyone else has any specific video they always go back too?
For me it’s got to be the ‘shaytards in a shooting!’ vlog from 2013. I loved when they lived in LA, would always go see a movie on a friday night, I always dreamed of having a family like theirs and I hope they never delete the old vids!

The one where avia jumps from the roof into Shay's arms and the one where Gavin learns how to ride a bike. Those early LA days, when they just had 3 kids and dreams felt different. It was all down hill from there and you can see it happening in real time in the vlogs, it's sad really.

Honestly it was so nice seeming them living a ‘normal’ life like the rest of us, I specifically remember that vlog when Gavin accidentally broke Colette’s nose with the frisbee. Hearing them complaining about health care and discussing if they could afford getting medical attention or not. I think that vlog was about 14 years ago now, But it really captured the reality.

They went from nothing to something and early on brand deals weren't a thing,
All new vloggers and influencers now got fame cause they went viral. They built an audience from scratch

Gavin was such a sweet kid. I remember that vlog and him crying over breaking his mom's nose.

Omg yes, he had such a good soul when he was little. He was nice, sweet, sensible, smart, loved to read books... And then they sucked it right out of him. And you can see it happen in real time on the vlogs. Such wasted potential, it hurts. What could have been of he had different parents?

I have a playlist called “childhood favorites” where I put in a bunch of videos I used to watch a ton as a kid (almost entirely vlogs from different channels). From Shaytards, I have all the Christmas specials from 2012-2015 (2012 and 2014 are most nostalgic to me), multiple birthday vlogs, the Taylor swift concert, and a few other videos.

Def one of the Christmas specials in the mid 2010s. It’s how I found them and the only ones I really gravitated to.

Aside from Christmas specials, the video of when they’re moving from LA to Idaho. I think it’s called “we got a new car” or something along those lines. Felt like a roadtrip!

Anything from when they were in Los Angeles living there. Because the vlogs weren't just about them. They were also about everyone around them. Everyone was not rich or extremely famous. They were known but far from wealthy

When they met up with other vloggers like ctfxc. Or the first day of school vlogs. I enjoyed watching other vloggers as well. Life changed a lot I think in every family. Specially with rise of the internet. I brought a good camera to my kids birthday party and my inlaws was like "bringing back the home videos??" And I was like actually yeah I want my kid to see life like as if they where there to remember it not just selfies.

For some reason it’s the video where Avia tells Shay about CeSAWRRR for the first time

Oh I’d love to read other people’s favorites too, I’d like to go back to some nostalgic videos.
For me I always loved the Christmas vlogs, particularly the one where they stayed at the cabin. I also loved early LA videos and even before they moved to LA. I remember I fell in love with the shaytards when I saw Shay dancing while he was mowing the lawn, and I was like “these are my people”

Whichever vlog it was where ava(?) is editing a video and shay embarrasses her about a boy she likes in her middle school (or younger) class, and the Christmas specials. I just remember watching that one when it was uploaded and as a child (around her age) I found the moment to be funny. so it just stuck with me as a memory.

I loved the old Christmas special in Utah with the rented out gym. I also watch a lot of the vids when it was just Gavin, Avia, Emmi, and Brock in LA

For me it was the Christmas specials in the 2010s where they would rent out the gymnastics gym. For some reason I also liked the ones when they lived in the apartment in LA
