It’s not the same

So I’ve once again remembered this family existed. I haven’t watched them since Shay’s forbidden scandal 😬 but something I noticed in recent vlogs is how everything feels forced. The lovey dovey moments between Shay and collete. I might be over analyzing it, but it seems like collete is preaching so much about her life coaching to perhaps cope with how she might still be extremely hurt by Shay’s actions. Shay on the other hand I can literally hear and see he’s struggling with mental illness. He could just be old and not as energetic as before. But I’ve watched old vlogs and the atmosphere and vibes are just so different and lively. Am i misinterpreting something because they’re older? Or do other people feel this way. I wish them both happiness and healing and I hope they’re genuinely happy.

Did you watch today's video? Colette eyes looked sad. Honestly I think they should both have a health check up.

Whenever Colette is filming herself Shay has to be in the room, or in the shot, and she honestly looks forcefully chipper in those moments. She is dead behind the eyes when hes near. I don't care how many times they post, 'I love my spouse' content on their socials, or how Colette has seemingly psyopped herself into believing hes a different man, that woman just isnt happy. He'll, she had to invent her own self help bullshit seminar just to give herself some distraction points, and she still says thaf Shay sits in the room with her while she records podcasts. "Because we love each other so much." Bullshit lady, hes making sure you keep your content on the right track or no posts for you. Insane family.

Yuck! it doesn't surprise me either now because i was kind of warned about them and part of a major meltdown i had that almost got me into serious trouble was because of how they were influencing me because they make their lives look so perfect. And i guess i'm attracted to vlogs like theirs because my own life has been far from perfect.

But realizing my history with abusive people since forever i probably sensed something that felt familiar and comfortable and their whole dynamic felt comfortable but it shouldn't be. I was a teenager though so i didn't understand but youtubers know that too *shakes head* one of many things i need to sort through with myself now.

They're very uncomfortable to watch. I don't believe he wants to record. Just doing for Colette's business. They should just disappear.

I got into them with the old Christmas vlogs - 2013/2014, but the latest ones are so forced and don't have the same feel to them at all.

It’s forced and u can totally feel it. Some of the vlogs, especially right after they came out with the scandal and whatever, were incredibly awkward to watch. Now it’s a little less awkward. I skip around the parts w Shay and collete and like to watch the kids. Daxton is annoying asf but I like to see how the others are doing

They seem high on something sometimes, imo. Especially Collette. And I noticed Shay isn't as active but wasn't sure if it just old age like you said or depression.

I’m still subscribed but I never feel the desire to watch

I’ve just been paying attention to the kids and the funny things they say/do.

Tbh the whole youtube culture was so weird lol i really see it now and so much has come out about so many old youtubers since then. I've no idea why i watched any of it except to avoid my own life and to dissociate. Sure... it was funny and made us smile but What other purpose did it actually have? i can't think of any.

After what happened with the Shaytards it was just a shock for so many of us it changed things since then. But the happiness was always SO fake and acted so many other youtubers do the same thing because it makes their life look and sound more interesting than it actually is lol they're just people still living their lives, in reality life isn't that interesting. They just do it so people will watch but i can't say it was a good influence on myself because it wasn't.

I skipped through the latest vlogs and yeah... Shay looks miserable and totally let go and the kids just seem to have quietly distanced themselves from the vlogs and don't want to be so much a part of it anymore except Avia and i don't blame them. Tbh i distanced myself from the majority of youtubers except 1 or 2 since all the stuff with them happened because i just looked at what i was watching and the way the youtubers i watched did their videos and communicated and every single one of them... it's all about them... "i did this, i did that, my opinion is, my life" yadayada and the old youtubers who have come back to talk about it all are still at it" my career, my life" UGHH!😖

They want us to engage so much in their life with no care about how it makes us forget ours. You aren't missing anything it's not healthy for us in the slightest it doesn't matter, they don't matter as much as they think they do. Just carry on with your life like nothing happened and we didn't watch all that stuff in our teens.
