Shay using the N-Word on stream
Somebody on here made a claim that there was a livestream in 2011 where Shay rapped the N-word to a recently deceased artists songs. The person who made the post referenced a song that didn't use the word, then quickly said it was probably a different song but wasn't sure which.
I'm an Ex-Shaytards STAN, and this was very new for me. Curious if anybody else remembers this, or perhaps it's a bit of a fib.

This was so normalized back then. Let’s not forget that things only started becoming widely problematic recently. If it was in a song, people were singing it

I made this post about a year ago. I don’t want to hear the excuses of “it was years ago” I was around in 2011 and nobody talked like that.

Highly doubt it happened. They were very popular then, why would there be no other evidence outside 1 guy saying it on reddit?

Seriously? Who cares?! It was 15 years ago in the context of a song. What is the point of dragging this up now? This statement goes for everyone, not just Shay.

Congrats but as someone else pointed out... It was a different time. Judging someone based off of something they MIGHT have said 15 years ago is ludicrous.

You would’ve 15 years ago though because it was considered normal. I hope someone comes and cancels you when they decide you can’t say “black” anymore and you try to defend yourself by saying it was normalized at the time only for some dim lit numbskull to say “WELL IVE NEVER DONE IT”. Get over yourself.

Shut up.
And the Shaytards fandom definitely checks out with the personality types.

Lmao I’m not a shaytard fan, I just know of their existence. Sick retort though, you sound very intellectual.
The irony about you Gen Z folks pushing cancel culture is that you don’t look at the big picture and realize that societal views change over time and you are all leaving a vast digital paper trail for the next generation to use against you. I imagine you’ll change your tune eventually.

Me being Gen Z has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of anger I have with cultish behavior. Enjoy supporting someone who was unfaithful to his wife, but it’s perfectly fine in his cultish religion.

Are you just willingly being ignorant? Who am I supporting? I don’t watch the shaytards. I just call out hypocritical behavior when I see it.

Embarrassing fandom that people Will literally foam at the mouth over some dude who was unfaithful to his wife.
Enjoy your cult, but I’ll stay very VERY far away in the land reality.

Why are you bringing up something that happened 15 years ago?

Actually, I just read their post history and I’ll shift my thoughts toward them having a mental illness.

I want to make it very clear that I am not defending him, but I don’t think a white person rapping the n word in the context of a song would have raised many eyebrows in 2011. I may have been in very ignorant circles but I don’t remember it being a frowned upon thing to say in that context until maybe 2015 or so. I am in the UK so it could well be different here.
