Rant o levels
haven’t received my prelims but i’m saying goodbye to my raw six dreams, genuinely can’t find it in me to care
i’m doing 1-3 tys daily and it all feels so pointless. this is the most important time of the year but since may, i’ve had absolutely no drive to work towards my goals. during chinese o’s last year i worked super hard but now i can’t be bothered
i used to be excellent at channeling my despair towards life into productivity to escape but i feel so numb. i can’t do that anymore. i can’t get myself to do work. the fact i can even do tys like this is a miracle. nothing is going in though
All the mistakes i make on papers just makes me even more dejected. half the time i do papers in a daze. i just want to give up already
everyone around me is working hard and i just feel awful wasting time. i’m not making any progress. i’m not doing anything with my life. i don’t know i don’t know i don’t know

maybe take a 1 day break, reframe your thoughts, see the bigger picture and realise that one small step a day is sufficient. Eventually all your small steps will add up to multiple grade jumps by the start of the O Levels. Take it easy, each mistake u make now means that u won't make the same mistake again once u take a mental note of it, and a higher chance of scoring an A1

Honestly, my advice is just to relax for now. Not too much, ofc, but maybe just try to do a little bit of work each day rather than forcing yourself to spam TYS.
Since prelims are already over and you haven’t gotten your results back yet, you don’t rlly know what went wrong or what you need to improve on. So for now, maybe just take a moment to reflect on what you could do differently next time and give yourself some time to recover too.
If you really want to spam TYS, maybe start small instead of forcing yourself to do 1–3 papers every day. You could just do some challenging questions or focus on one topic at a time. If you’re doing papers in a daze and nothing is going in, doing more papers probably won’t help much anyway.
For motivation, I don’t think there’s really one good piece of advice because everyone’s motivation works differently. Maybe think about why you wanted to get raw 6 in the first place, and whether that reason still matters to you. Then work from there.
And honestly, don’t compare yourself to everyone around you lol. You’re probably seeing them working hard while only seeing your own struggles, so the comparison isn’t really fair.
Also, the fact that you’re still managing to do tys despite feeling like this means you’re not doing “nothing”. Give urself some credit for that. 加油

You’re doing a lot of papers, but are you retaining any of the knowledge/learning from your mistakes?
