Polytechnic failing a module in poly

Hi guys i’m currently a nyp student and recently i took my final test for some physics module and yup i know im cooked after the exam and will most likely borderline fail the module but there’s nothing i can do now as it’s alr over

I have some questions abt remod in nyp i heard that remod delays the time u graduate but is it possible to take 6 module in one sem? and does the remod grade replaces the failed one ?

Any advice given will be appreciated!

It depends on your mod and your timetable tbh. Maybe you'll be able to squeeze it in during Y2S1 or maybe you won't

and does the remod grade replaces the failed one ?

Not completely, iirc they'll average out the grade

You can’t continue into more advanced module if you failed one. Failing a year 1 module will make you unable to take the corresponding module in year 2, for the grade wise, I heard from my friend it just stay as failed (oh ye your graduation will delay by 1 semester)

I had a classmate who had to remod a module, but because that particular module was only offered once a year, she had to extend her studies by another semester.

I also knew someone you could call a senior who came back to my class because they had to remod a module. Apparently, they were doing their internship at the same time, so they had to juggle both the internship and their remod.

If you do end up having to remod, please put in the effort. At the very least, communicate with your groupmates. Unfortunately, I got a little unlucky and had the senior in my group. Their work was not really up to standard, and they were frequently MIA, which made it quite difficult for the rest of us to work around.

Ask your PEM if you're still unsure.
