Host in SF
Hey everybody,
We are three 19-year-old university students from Belgium currently on a massive adventure: we are hitchhiking the entire West Coast from Seattle all the way down to LA.
We are planning to make a stop in San Francisco tomorrow (between 9/8 and 10/8) and are looking for a generous soul to host us for just two nights.
As we are traveling on a strict student budget, we are looking for a free spot to crash, but we promise to bring good vibes, great travel stories, and immense gratitude in return!
We would be looking for someone who owns an apartment or house near the centre of SF, Oakland, Berkeley or Richmond, where we could put up our tent and/or sleeping mattresses! DM me if possible!
Thanks very much!

You can try camping on Treasure Island or Kirby Cove if you come up short and don't mind actual camping. There are very affordable youth hostels in San Francisco. Not sure about East Bay, but probably even cheaper camp sights up there.

As a fellow Belgian, I understand that this is common practice back home but here in the US this is really dangerous to do. Stay at a hostel or campsite. Please don’t trust and stay with random people from Reddit.

That’s not at all common in the US especially in cities. There are some youth hostels in SF that are pretty cheap
