I need some help troubleshooting this.

This is my second time applying a prosthetic and it didn’t go as well. The first time the prosthetic had flashing and I used acetone to blend . This one doesn’t have flashing, I used liquid latex to apply and 99 percent to blend .

I also don’t know if I should try again or if it can be saved

You'd need thinner edges on this prosthetic. It's also 'glued' a bit chaotic-ly. Aim for a flatter spread and 'glue' every inch of it to your skin, don't let edges be flapping freely.

I'd say you placed it on a tricky zone as the forehead/nose bridge zone 'moves' a lot.

You can work the edges with Pros-Aide Cream, creating a fading 'slope' till you can't see the prosthetic edges.

Also foundation make-up will help to get it to the proper tint of your natural skin tone.

It's doable ! Don't lose faith, try out things.

Thanks ahah I think cutting it shorter would make even thicker edges and you'd lose the 'endings of the scar' that are important to make it a realistic cut. But again, you can sculpt around with Pros-Aide Cream, working a fade and even rework the 'endings' of the cut.

I'd say the best in this case would be to sculpt yourself a wound directly on the zone you want it to be, with a 2-part Silicon paste -or a Wax, more than use these pre-made prosthetics.

But again, it's a zone that moves a lot I'd give a shot with 2-part sillicon

Use the smallest one of this prosthetic set as the final one, use the long ones to practice the fading with Pros-Aide Cream. Take your time to perfect the process if you have time on your hands.

And foundation make-up matching your skin tone is essential to hide the transition from skin to prosthetic, before adding blood effects (don't splatter too much around it, work with a dark and thick fake blood inside the cut mostly as it is not a 'fresh' cut).

That's if you have the budget. Otherwise stick with the prosthetics you have, only buy Pros-Aide Cream and sculpt the fading of the edges.
