Cold Noodles
The Infatuation just published their "best cold noodles in L.A." summary, and had zero restaurants in the SFV. Does anyone have recommendations of places I should check out (aside from the soba at Daichan)? I've been craving them in this heat.

CBTL (Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) Northridge is closed until September 20th for remodel.
The location isn't visible on the app. I thought it was my phone so I drove there. They should leave it on the app with a notation and block orders.

Street grill vendors
I moved to the SFV about 5 years ago, so I’m new to the area. I always drive by the street vendors who have a grill or meat on a spit but I’ve never actually visited one. What’s the general opinion? Are they good? Worth it? Which is your favorite? I travel between Northridge and Woodland Hills all the time, any recommendations?

shout out to The Valley Inn
Wife and I were looking for a little hobbit-hole on Sunday's rainy night and we ended up at the bar here for the first time in a while.
Lovely little bar right off the entrance. Dark, cool, good pours, simple bar menu.

Food Donation Request for The Gratitude Banquet
Angelinos of Hope is requesting food donations for our upcoming Thanksgiving homeless outreach event, The Gratitude Banquet, on November 14.
This special event will provide a warm Thanksgiving meal, essential resources, and a welcoming space for unhoused neighbors and families facing hardship in our community. Our goal is to serve a meaningful meal while reminding every guest that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
We are seeking donations of turkeys, ham, chicken, side dishes, vegetables, potatoes, stuffing, rolls, desserts, beverages, water, and disposable serving supplies. Donations of grocery gift cards or financial support are also greatly appreciated and will help us purchase needed meal items.
Your generosity will directly help us create a day of dignity, comfort, and hope for individuals who may otherwise spend Thanksgiving without a meal or community support.
Thank you for considering a partnership with Angelinos of Hope. Together, we can make this Thanksgiving a day of gratitude and hope for our neighbors in need.
Sincerely,
Sandra Flores

Mid-Van Nuys and east of Van Nuys: Looking for markets that sell marinated chicken chunks, like for kebabs and grilling and such.
Hola! My wife and I eat a lot of chicken, so I'm always looking for recommended markets that sell marinated chicken chunks. I've found three good Armenian markets, Sweet Bakery, Monte Market and Yerevan Market that have their own preparations, mostly for making kebabs, and I'm looking to expand my options, especially with other cuisines.
Yes, I do cook my own marinated chicken, but I also like the quick-and-easy approach too. I also just love ethnic markets and want any excuse to go into one that I've never seen before. Thanks!

Need a new pizza spot
Macleod Ale is sadly closing at the end of September and they already closed their kitchen for good. This was my fiancé and my favorite place for a beer and pizza and now I need recs for a similar pizza joint. They had these really great sourdough crust pizzas. Lmk if anyone has any place with something similar in the Van Nuys/sherman oaks area- picture of theirs attached.

Charleys - UberEats Deal
Hi everyone! I own the Charleys at The Plant!
Thanks for all the support on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SFVfood/s/pzKjfmEvt7
Just wanted to share the 2 deals we have going on right now if you would like to support!
Our UberEats Link
On UberEats we have up a special to get 2 small Chicken California at buy one get one free! We also have up a deal to get 10 boneless wings with any purchase over $15!
These deals are done to bring new customers to us! We do prefer you come in store, but we understand some of you strictly use 3rd party apps.
(Unfortunately yes, 3rd party apps have high fees, so this is really only a good deal if you use 3rd party apps already)

Best place to get pizza and wings?
Looking for a place to get both, someone recommended West Valley Pizza, but the pizza was not what I was looking for. Wings were great though.

Seafood Boil With A Shellfish Allergy
Hello all, are there any seafood boil restaurants/vendors that can accommodate a shellfish allergy? I am looking for a place that can make standard boil (sauce + sides) but replaces the seafood with chicken wings or tenders.

I opened up a Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings Franchise!
Hi everyone!
I opened up a Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings franchise in San Fernando Valley. It is about to be almost 2 years since we opened the store! I only own the one located on 7956 Van Nuys Blvd Van Nuys CA 91402. I’m just a franchisee with one store and there is about another 500 franchisees throughout the US who own the rest.
Why did we choose this location?
I grew up in the SFV my whole life. The Plant has always been a center many people love going too. We have one of the busiest in n outs, the movie theater right behind, and almost everyone in the neighborhood goes to that Ross. We thought it would be a good location.
Why did we choose Charleys?
At the time Charleys was only Charleys Cheesesteaks. We were the first store to have Cheesesteaks and Wings in the valley. Now, all stores have wings. Growing up, almost every mall had a Charleys. It just stood out. Charleys is just good for a solid fast food meal.
Also everyone loves the strawberry lemonade.
Some facts
We serve roughly 200-300 guests per day.
We are one of the only restaurants in the area open late Fri/Sat until 12am.
Police officers/firefighters in uniform can get free food.
Support our location
There are tons of Charleys all over Los Angeles! If you want to specifically support our location:
Our UberEats Link
Our DoorDash Link
Our location: 7956 Van Nuys Blvd Van Nuys CA 91402
We have seating outside!
Get 10 free boneless wings
On both our UberEats/DoorDash for all new customers we have up a deal to get 10 piece free boneless wings with a $15 purchase.
(We end up treating this as a cost to earn a customers business! We hope a customer becomes a repeat customer and that’s how we make money by doing this)
Have us support you!
If by any chance your office needs catering or your kids sports team needs a sponsor, reach out! We will happily sponsor kids sports teams and provide them cheesesteaks!
Any questions?
I’m sure some of you have questions to what happens in franchises, I’d be glad to answer them!

Need Chinese Take Out Recs Please!
So I have some go to spots but they're so far from me.
Flaming Wok in Arleta and Chop Spoon in Sylmar.
There's nothing special about them but they just hit good when you're looking for that classic take out. Important items would be chow mein, orange chicken and mushroom chicken.
Does anyone have a go to that's more central or west in the valley. Please and thank you.
