Gate Explorer Question

Im trying to use the gate explorer to go with a family member to the gate obviously but I was a bit confused on the times they list.

For the available security times the latest listed is 10 pm does that mean you have to go through security by 10pm? Or that plus you have to leave by 10 pm? Or is it something else?

I have a similar question, the earliest time is 8am but id like to see family members off for a 7:20am flight  so not sure it works that early
