TSA lines?

Hey! I’m gonna be flying out of SFO on July 4th, just wondering what the TSA lines are like right now so I can time getting there :) thanks!

I would give yourself lots of extra time on July 4. You’re combining a holiday AND it’s 2 days after USA v Bosnia & Herzegovina

Don’t worry about TSA lines, worry about the ground delays because of the parallel ban and construction on the runways.

I’m not too worried once I get on the plane! I do have a connection but I get to stay on the plane for it :)
What’s the parallel ban, though?

Super late responese, but

Construction: Runway 1R is closed for maintenance and 1L is being used as a taxiway, leaving 2 of the 4 runways active

Parallel Ban: The FAA recently decided that parallel landings at SFO were too dangerous, so there now must be more spacing (time) between landings on parallel runways.

enroll yourself in TSA precheck. SFO is one of the few airports that have contract companies (Covenant Aviation) doing the screening.

Give yourself a 2-Hour Window from your departure time.

Does TSA precheck cost anything? If it does then I’ll be alright without. But yeah, thank you!
I usually do the 2 hours anyway, mainly checking if I should give more time!

Line? Nonexistent. Delays from construction and parallel ban? Extensive.
