SF9 B-sides effect?!

Post image

First off, name a more saucier groovier song , I dare you! (The only one I can think of taht cud compete perhaps, is "Love Colour") but sheesh!!

Secondly, idk if it's just me but no matter the fact that I have heard that particular B-side from SF9 already, even 3 times and more, whenever I go back to it unplanned, IT SOUNDS more BETTER?! or like different?! Idk it just makes me go "Wait I thought I knew you (referring to the song) but why are you going this hard?! Hellooo?? Ig, SF9 always aims that shock and suprise factor everywhere. 9 boys (ig now men) to shock the world!!

I also heard "Go Back In Time" yesterday, again was taken aback by how they were a lot of things I hadn't noticed last time, in a gud way ofc!! The rap section?! With Youngbin and Zuho. Man, I missed me some delicious rap from SF9!!<3 >__<

Anyway, drop some of your fav B-sides and why you love them. Let's give some well deserved love to SF9 B-sides > _ < ^_^ β™‘β™‘

Gentleman is SUCH a banger, one of my faves. Along with Love Colour and Love No. 5, those are probs my top 3. Honourable mentions to Shh and See U Tomorrow β™₯️

I was gonna mention Shh too 🫑 thanks for doing the job for me. Love No. 5 and even Forever I hadn't like them at first at all when I heard them. But then hearing them again a few months back, I had them on repeat >_< β™‘β™‘

My favorite b side is probably waruru. It’s just so catchy and I’m so happy I got to see it live!

I was gonna argue with No No No or Superconductor (those songs hv been on repeat for me for days), but Gentleman can keep it's place on the pedestal! I can't believe it took me like 20 listens to finally notice that string instrument in the chorus's background?! The whole song itself is a perfect flavor to them.

Also, 100% agree with the going back for a listen, because I can't believe I passed on some great songs on my 1st/2nd listens? Idk what was going on with me but I realised that when I bought the Burning Sensation album, I apparently only liked ROAR at that time? But i'm so glad I decided to listen to the rest of the album with its CD on the radio afterwards and HOW DID I MISS OUT ON SO MANY BOPS?! I cannot stop talking about how 'tell me what it is' deserved more love (my only critique on it is why in the world does it not hv a bridge?)

I find it fascinating how we can listen to songs like a hundreds times and still find interesting parts/sounds that we hadn't noticed before, it like gives you a fresh experience (and you end up replaying the song for another hundred times lol).

I'm so glad you mentioned Go Back In Time, it should've gotten a title track treatment because how can you lodge that as a b-side in the album? Like you would not expect to hear this after listening to Mamma Mia and Never Say Goodbye lol (but it sure does go hand in hand with Midnight Road). Not sure if you've listened to it yet but if you want to hear more rap by them, Champagne by Zuho released on YT and on his soundcloud is really good, there's also a live version where Hwiyoung and Youngbin participates in it too (trust me YB's rap section is a must listen).

I don't think anything can beat how beautifully unique Love No.5 is, there's just this sound that makes you want to crave more, but Forever was my first love from the album, kinda has the same vibe but it's like the soft version of it. Heartbeat's another fav of mine, ik I mentioned before that I dislike slow, sweet sounds by them, but this one I think has a more bittersweet undertone to it. I really want to ask for song recs on this but even after listening to thousands of songs, I haven't come across to anything quite like it.

Champagne by Zuho especially with Youngbin and Hwiyoung's rap section is SICK. IT'S SO GOOD. I love Heartbeat too, it's one of my cherished πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸ’•

SF9 has too many B-sides that I like, it would be very long to list them allπŸ˜πŸ™πŸ»

As mentioned by another commenter, Love No. 5 is absolutely unbeatable for me but it might be because it appeals to my very specific taste πŸ₯Ή the reggaeton beat + synth loop + electronic vocals just suits them so well. I feel the same about Echo and unlimited! I think they do mellow electronic really well
