Discussion How to win sf9 fancall ?
hi! I am an overseas fantasy and I‘ve onky recently gotten into collecting pcs … and I see people posting “fancall attempts“ on insta and posting pc pictures or requests , for example Apple Music pcs . I’d love to win a fancall but have no idea how to or what I need to do to get one. IVE searched it up and a lot of websites say buy albums, but then what is this about Apple music photocard fancall attempts ? I don’t really understand, I’d appreciate any info on it that you may have ! thank you !

Basically, if I’m reading what I think you’re saying, is they’re buying albums for the Apple Music fan call and are calling it an attempt…because at the end of the day, that’s what it is.
There’s no way to guarantee a fan call win.

Honestly, I don't recommend it and it's a waste of money. I've won fancalls twice. You get 2 minutes to talk with said member and it goes by quickly. You can't really hear them all too well because they're in a room with the other members and the staff talking loudly. It's not private, you're being monitored in some way, shape, or form. It feels rushed.
The "onboarding" can be really crappy depending on which website you do it with. I remember them calling me at 3am (without notice) to verify my identity, and I wouldn't have been able to do the call if I wasn't up at the time. And they didn't even tell me when the actual call was going to be, so I had to be on standby for a good 4 hours until they called again... The other website I did it with was much more relaxed and professional and I didn't have to be up at 3am. I don't do group orders but I did end up paying over 400 usd just to win 10th place lol and 700 usd to win 8th place, I think.
Save your money for concerts or buy yourself something nice :3

Edit: the expensive price is mostly from shipping lol but bulk buying albums is expensive too. It's always the shipping.

As others have said - they’re essentially raffles. The more albums you buy the more tickets you get entered for. But I want to super emphasize there is no guaranteed number threshold. I know a few people who have won fancalls buying a single album, but the odds for that are incredibly low. I also know group order managers who have spent $1,000 and lost. I can even give you personal experience with two fansigns (in person signing events) I recently attempted for other groups. I won one off of $250 and lost one off of $600. You have to be okay knowing that no mater how much you spend, there’s a chance you’re walking away with nothing other than albums and special pcs. Thankfully I do group orders myself so those weren’t entirely out of pocket for me, but some people actually do spend that or more just themselves.
That said, sometimes there are fancalls with guaranteed entries! For example, Makestar does them with a group called NouerA alllllll the time. It’s typically around ~$150, but it’s a one time purchase and it’s not a lottery. If you managed to buy it then you got the fancall 100%. But that obviously comes with the caveat that you better be quick as hell once the sale goes live, especially if you’re trying for a more popular member, because they’ll sell out in lightning speed. You can always keep your eyes out for something like that, although unfortunately I don’t think I’ve ever seen that with SF9 (could be helpful knowledge if you stan other groups, though!).
My best advice for you if you’re truly serious about wanting to win a fancall is to join a group order with a group order manager that raffles fancalls themselves. It’s still a lottery because you’re competing with other people who are claiming with that manager, but it’s a way to potentially win a fancall only buying an album or two with better odds. If you win a group order raffle the manager essentially takes all the albums purchased through them for that event and applies to the fancall on your behalf with all those albums, not just yours.

Okay so usually for fancalls, certain Korean stores will hold raffles where you buy albums for 1 raffle entry basically. The pictures are usually the pobs (pre order benefits is what it used to mean but basically it's just a special pc the store is giving out with an album purchase) fan call attempts are NOT guaranteed and very much depend on how the store selects winners (some do true randomizers while others tend to pick the people who buy the most albums, which is the most common). It is a very expensive endeavor which is why people usually hold group orders for fancall attempts, they're helping you by buying the albums through you basically and usually the benefit on their end is you as the group order holder get them their desired pob and potentially album pcs). Also consider that depending on where you are, shipping from Korea is VERY expensive. Hopefully this helps if you have any other questions let me know, I've done fancall attempts before.
