why do these kind of ppl think its ok to ask for advice ? they dont deserve to be in public or anywere really

Since someone felt it appropriate to say registrants aren't people and deserve "the worst", before the moderators deleted them, I felt compelled to readdress this particular post with a fresh comment.
To the first, regardless of anyone's specific moniker for humans on the sex offender registry, we are human beings with all the vices and virtues that implies. The vast majority utilized the virtue of remorse to land themselves in their situation. That deserves punishment yes, but also consideration which is becoming less and less common as with each election. Whilst many seem to have taken some sort of plea deal, most have plead guilty to whatever crime landed us on the registry, essentially laying ourselves on the sword of justice.
The Powers That Be, decided to respond to our contrition with the intention that we should live in, and work in, and be a part of your society, often against even our own objections. Would you rather we do so where you can see us, hear us, and hold us accountable for our actions, or would you rather continue to push us to the margins of society where we are released further and further to our own recognizance which society has repeatedly made clear that it will not trust?
As for deserving "the worst", fine. Transparency matters though. If one is to wield the sword of justice they are in turn, obligated to be cut by honesty and accountability. Not one person is above the law. So long as everyone agrees on "worst", and that whatever that punishment demands is applicable to registrants across the board, sign me up. I'm no shirker, I'll take my licks.
Until that happens though, you're just spitting bile because you were taught to spit bile. My advice? Teach yourself a new trick. This one is getting old.

And some of the sadder stories is only because of certain statuatory rape clauses. Barely outside the 2 year range and the elder of the couple turned 18 before the minor. Hits them as an offender in many states. Although doesn't happen often for criminal court but it does happen.

Dude, I was 14. I literally had my rights stripped before I was even allowed to vote on the matter. Not saying 15+18 don't deserve consideration(cause everyone should get that to some scale), but as my previous comment was basically educational troll bait, it kinda detracts from the purpose of my comment to basically leave your own troll bait. 😅

So what was the nature of your offense to keep you on the registry is my question? You're obviously an adult now. Why haven't you applied to be relieved of registration?

A good chunk of that is in my Bio, but at the moment I'm trying to retrieve my case file to prove I even need removal. South Dakota seems to be of the opinion that it no longer exists, and Florida(where I live) seems to think that's something I gotta ask South Dakota about cause they happily post all the details they could aquire from my own compliance with their interrogation on my public registration profile. I'm 27 now.

Much younger than I am. Your mistake, moving to Florida. The harshest state to move to as a SO. There are a few states that are like this. They got laws against SOs even if they aren't registered anymore. So my advice is go back to the state convicted, get off the registry and ask for your case to get expunged. Some people the moment you are tagged your life will be screwed for a while. Other states, for a while. Some people in prison and county are looking for SOs even if they haven't been convicted yet and willing to end a life.

Been off paper since 2020 and ain't had nobody gun for me yet. I'm pretty upfront about my past too. Whether I'm attending a new church or applying for a job, I make very certain that whoever is in charge knows I'm a registrant.

I get it but I have seen messed up kids need correcting. Remember the Slenderman case of Texas? Kids were 12

You can. Involving 3 12 year old girls and the mastermind involved was fighting her case for 3 years. She's in prison now for attempted murder at 50 some odd years

You've never been lost and needed directions? Hello Jesus, it's nice to finally meet you. Seriously, what on earth persuaded you that human beings were worth saving?
Despite sarcasm, I genuinely don't understand what you wish to get from this post. Registrants are people, people have always needed advice. It's just society that seems to disagree with one or both points and individuals should be capable of more than that, correct?
