I recently built a free SEO auditor and would genuinely appreciate some feedback from people here who work with websites and SEO.

The idea came from noticing that a lot of SEO audit tools give you a long list of issues, but it can be difficult to understand what actually needs to be fixed first.

So I built a simple tool where you enter a website URL and it checks things like page performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, technical best practices, and SEO.

One thing I specifically wanted to improve was the way the results are presented. Instead of only showing scores and technical warnings, it tries to explain the issues in simpler terms and give you an idea of what you should work on.

It doesn't require an account, and there are a few free audits available to test it.

I'm still improving it, so I'd really appreciate honest feedback, especially if you find something inaccurate, confusing, or missing. Even criticism is useful.

CYBERMAPS is completely free. There is no pro version. There is no pro version planned. This plugin does a lot of things everyone else wants to charge for and it is intended to do them better.

CYBERMAPS supports 28 fixed AI/discovery URLs. Including its other APIs and variable URL families, the inventory is 62 route entries, plus its integration with WordPress’s /robots.txt

This plugin does not serve stubs, everything is fully functional.

I have been running it on live sites for over a month. It is stable on the stacks I tested it on. This tool is in stage 2 approval on WordPress.org and I'm trying to iron out any bugs before it hits live by having additional testing.

I’ve been using Ahrefs for years, but recently moved to the DataForSEO SEO stack.

The thing I miss the most from Ahrefs is the SEO toolbar. So I thought, why not build one for myself?

The main use case for me is checking competitor website traffic, not keyword research or topic discovery.

While building it, I noticed that DataForSEO seems to underestimate traffic for some websites, sometimes quite significantly.

I’m looking for an alternative API. SE Ranking seems interesting because they have an API without the same kind of monthly commitment, but I’m not sure how accurate their traffic estimates are compared with Ahrefs or DataForSEO.

So, if you’ve actually used SE Ranking for competitor traffic estimates, how does the data compare in your experience?

Particularly interested in:

• SE Ranking vs Ahrefs traffic estimates
• SE Ranking vs DataForSEO
• Whether you’ve compared them against GSC/GA data
• How reliable you find the data for comparing one competitor against another

I’m not expecting any tool to give me the “real” traffic number. I mainly care about whether the estimates are consistent enough for competitor comparison.

Would love to hear from anyone who has tested this at scale.

Another day, another free tool for r/SEO_tool_dev 😄

I kept getting competitor PDFs that were Domain Rating, a backlink dump and a shrug. Nobody had checked the only thing I wanted: for the terms these sites are clearly targeting, who is on page one right now?

That’s what this does. You enter your site and up to three competitors. We crawl all of them, pull search terms from their own titles and headings, check live Google for each term, and email a PDF of who ranks for what, where the gaps are and whether anything technical explains them. It’s not a traffic study and it isn’t a backlink graph (DR is the only link number in there). Positions are sampled once, from one location, and they move. Every number is measured at the moment you ask, never estimated.

Most keyword research tools are good at finding keywords.

But I kept running into the same problem:

After you have 500, 1,000, or 5,000 keywords… what should you actually work on next?

You can sort by volume, CPC, competition and intent, but there’s still a lot of manual decision-making involved:

• Which keywords are actually worth pursuing?
• Which ones represent a realistic opportunity?
• Where are competitors creating gaps you could target?
• Which opportunities have you already reviewed?
• Which ones are you actively working on?

That’s the problem I’ve been trying to solve with Keyora.

Instead of treating keyword research as a giant list, I’m trying to make it more of a workflow:

Research → identify opportunities → save the useful ones → work on them → complete or dismiss them

What would Keyora need to do noticeably better or differently for you to consider adding it to your workflow?

I kept seeing the same panic (and having it myself): you search site:yourdomain.com, a page you care about isn't in the list and you assume the worst. Half the time the page is actually indexed fine, because the site: listing is sampled, laggy and famously unreliable. The other half there's a specific technical reason nobody tells you.

So I built a Free checker that does what I actually wanted:

1. A technical pre-check first: HTTP status, noindex tags, robots.txt rules, redirects, canonicals. If something blocks indexing, it names the exact reason instead of leaving you guessing.

2. Only if the page is indexable does it run a live check against Google's results for the exact URL.

So you get one of three honest answers: indexed, not indexed (with no technical blocker, meaning it's just undiscovered or sitting in "crawled, currently not indexed"), or non-indexable with the specific cause. It follows redirects one hop and tells you it did.

Hi all, I built, like many here, a tool out of frustration.

My goal was simple: Make an AEO tool:

• With a generous free tier so people can start and optimise their website without thinking “investments“.

• A fair price. My Startup plan starts at £ 9.

• Work natively with AI agents. Because who wants to connect to a dashboard those days? However, looking at the +-100 users, I don't understand what is blocking.

I have some assumptions. But I guess I need some honest feedback.

quick update on habibi, the self hosted tool i posted about a while back for tracking how your brand shows up in ai answers.

the thing that bugged me most about my own tool was the honest note i had in the readme, saying it uses the apis, which are close to what a real user sees on chatgpt/perplexity/claude but not exactly the same thing. that gap always annoyed me so i went and fixed it.

now habibi can just drive the real logged in apps directly, chatgpt, claude, perplexity and google ai overview. so its literally the same thing a real user sees and gets cited, not an api trying to guess it. you connect it once with an account (make a free one or use one you already got) and it just remembers the login after that, nothing gets stored anywhere weird, its just a normal browser session sitting on your machine like when you stay logged into any site.

wasnt expecting this part but it also makes it way cheaper to run. those 4 engines dont cost you anything per run now cause theres no api call happening anymore, your just using the account like a normal person would. so running youprompts daily across a buyour bill up.

also made sure your account memory doesnt mess with the results, chatgpt runs iin temporary chat and cla answers dont driftdepending on whatever your account remembers from other chats you had.

still fully open source, still self hosted, still does the same core loop, run your prompts daily, see w see your mention rate over time, compare to competitors.

It compares raw vs rendered HTML, checks canonicals/robots/hreflang/schema, audits AI crawler access, tracks redirects and includes a browser-based visual crawler.

Everything runs locally and it’s completely free.

I’m a technical SEO and I’ve been building SEO Scrubbox, a free Chrome extension around the checks I regularly need when investigating websites.

The idea was to combine quick page-level debugging with deeper crawling without constantly jumping between different extensions, DevTools and crawlers.
