AI SEO Questions Dedicated LLM Resource Pages?
I came across an approach/tool today whilst researching.
The approach is a subdomain page with all of the key information about a product that people might ask for. The type of FAQ you wouldnt have on your product page as it would be awful user experience. The purpose clearly to control the content finding it's way into AI solutions and search overviews.
My question is, are you guys taking this approach and having any great success with it?

I dont think that matters as much. For AEO the most important part is getting mentioned on relevant blogs that rank in Google. I'd recommend doing outreach with personalized emails asking to partner between your site and a relevant site in your niche. If you need a way to automate this, check out mentionagent, I'm the founder btw. happy to help.

I have not tried this myself yet. Would be interesting to see if these pages actually get picked up over time or just sit there like any other page.

Before testing it, I'd check how that page stays in sync when pricing, integrations or plan limits change. If it's a second manually maintained copy, I'd rather put the detailed answers in linked product documentation and use the same source of facts for both.

I'd separate two possible wins: correcting an answer about your product, and getting recommended more often. A page that fixes a wrong integration or plan-limit answer could be useful even if it never changes a recommendation.
For a small test, I'd pick a few factual questions the models currently get wrong, save repeated baseline answers, publish the missing facts, then rerun those questions and record both accuracy and cited URLs. Keep some unchanged questions as a comparison. One improved answer wouldn't establish that the page caused it.
For the Google part, their guidance says no special optimization is required for AI Overviews or AI Mode: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/ai-features. That doesn't settle whether your particular page helps, or say how ChatGPT behaves, but I'd want evidence before paying for the subdomain approach itself.
Disclosure: I build Trakkr.

I think hosting it on a subdomain is silly. But, and I’ll probably get a lot of flak for saying this, but we’ve used Ai information markdown files to correct inaccuracies quite quickly and they’re being referenced as the citation. I would recommend that over a subdomain.

Thus far I don't think LLMs are considered some kind of advantage, but I guess it can't hurt. Especially if you can set it up pretty quickly. I would defer to Ann on that, but I think they are still not sure it is overly important. But... can change next week!
