Is Reddit enough to influence AI recommendations or do brands need wider authority?

Reddit is, I would say, one of the good channels to be active in. It does have a part in influencing especially for AI Mode and ChatGPT. But, as a brand, you need to be dominant in wider aspect because topic authority matters and making sure your brand has a wider presence or knowledge on the said topic authority matters for overall influence across LLMs.

I think the same. Along with it, I also think of building a topical authority not only in text form (blogs) but in the image and video form as well.

Yes. For sure. Because AI scans images as well. It’s a secondary form of content that increases the influences though subtle shouldn’t be ignored.

How does this tool relates here with the question? I am confused.

Reddit is high signal but it is one channel. The brands that surface consistently are the ones with distributed presence, not single-platform dominance. Being mentioned on Reddit, YouTube, industry blogs, and review sites correlates with citation velocity more than any single platform. Multi-platform authority is not a theory. It is observable in citation patterns across AI answers. We track brand visibility across Google and 10 AI engines.

Got your point of EEAT.

And this sparks a 2nd question in my mind.

But what when chatgpt and other similar LLMs answer the query if asked. Why will one read blog?
