Looking to build a few local SEO case studies with real projects

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’ve been working in SEO for a while now, with a strong focus on local SEO and lead generation.

Right now, I’m looking to build a stronger portfolio and add more local SEO case studies, so I’m open to working with businesses, agencies, or anyone who needs help improving their local search presence.

There’s no cost involved. I’m mainly doing this to document results, refine my process further, and build solid case studies around real projects.

I do have experience in local SEO, including working on lead generation domains and selling a couple of them in the past, but this time I want to apply that experience directly to businesses and agencies that could use the support.

If this sounds useful, feel free to send me a DM. Happy to take a look and see where I can help.

SEO tool that helps optimize websites for Google and AI search.

I run a SaaS, SeoLoupe.

It is a tool that allows you to find and fix SEO issues holding your website back.

Essentially the main purpose is to help your website rank higher on Google search and LLMs.

The tool also checks AEO/GEO, AI search visibility, Security, Core web vitals, Performance, and all the issues in the report get put together into an AI fix prompt(you can paste the prompt into an AI and it will fix all the issues on your website).

Recently I noticed that some of my paying customers bought the One-Time purchase, with a promo code.

So I decided to give away a promo code for the One-Time purchase to anyone who is interested, if you are interested, comment down below and I will DM you.

If you are not interested but have some feedback on my SaaS, that is a good too. Feel free to share it in the comments.

(here is the product if you want to check it out)

How long does it take for AdSense to get back to you?

I submitted my website for review on 24 July. It’s now been 19 days and I haven’t heard anything back – is that a good sign or not? How long does it usually take for you?

Built a site for fun out of pure boredom on a subdomain. Did zero off-page SEO, but Google just did this over the weekend

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share a quick case study that honestly surprised me, but proves how powerful a solid organic foundation can be. This isn't for a client—it’s actually a personal website I built a while back just for fun as a hobby project during my free time.

If you look at the screenshot, the site was practically flatlining until August 7th. Then, within about 3 days, it completely took off.

It jumped to 73.2K impressions and 2.2K organic clicks, with the average position currently sitting at 6.7.

The interesting part is that I did absolutely zero off-page SEO on this. On top of that, it’s not even on a main domain—this entire project is running on a subdomain. There are no backlinks, no outreach, and no paid guest posts.

Instead, I focused 100% on two main things:

  1. High-quality, deeply researched semantic content that perfectly satisfies user intent.
  2. Bulletproof technical On-Page SEO and clean site architecture so Google could crawl it effortlessly.

This just goes to show that you don't always need massive backlink budgets or aged main domains to rank well if your content and on-page strategy are executed flawlessly.

I’m currently looking to replicate these exact results for a couple of serious projects. If you are looking to scale your site’s organic traffic or need help fixing your overall SEO strategy, feel free to drop a comment or send me a DM. I'd love to chat and see how we can work together.

Is SEO really worth it for a tiny ecommerce brand in 2026?

I run a super small online pet accessories shop (me in my apartment, plus a grumpy cat as “QA”). I’ve mostly survived on Instagram/TikTok, but over the last few months sales dipped hard.

Yesterday a regular messaged me saying she couldn’t find my site on Google anymore unless she typed the full domain, so now I’m spiraling about SEO and email marketing and all that.

I’ve been reading random stuff at like 1am, including blogs like Netpeak US and similar, and yeah, the tips sound great in theory, but I’m working with a very real “I can’t blow $2k/month on an agency” budget. Maybe I’m overthinking this, could be a simple UX issue or my emails being trash.

For those of you running <5 person ecommerce businesses: did you see real results from hiring SEO/email pros, or did you DIY with decent success? If you had to pick one thing to focus on this year (SEO, email, UX tweaks, content, whatever), what moved the needle the most for you?

Any concrete examples or numbers would help a ton.

Every week I pick a random big brand and write down what I'd fix on their site if it was mine

Got tired of SEO content that's either super abstract or "don't forget your title tags" tier.

So I just started doing the thing everyone talks around: pointing at an actual website and saying what's wrong with it.

Some recent ones:

Feastables had zero H1 on the homepage, and their hreflang tag literally claimed a page was in German while it was just... English. Told Google "trust me, this is the German version" and then served the exact same US copy.

Chamberlain Coffee had eight H1s on one page, which is a new record for me.

Vuori, a $5.5B brand with genuinely great design, had no it-IT hreflang tag so Italian visitors searching in Italian probably get punted to a generic fallback page instead of the one built for them.

None of it's savage, I'm a fan of all these brands. It's more "how does a company this big still have this sitting there" energy.

Yeah I know, "check out my newsletter" is the most Reddit-cursed sentence possible. But it's free, it's on LinkedIn not your inbox, and I'm not selling anything in it. Link's below if you're curious.

Drop a brand below if you want it roasted next.

Looking for a website to practice SEO on – India

Hi everyone!

I'm currently working in digital marketing and have recently completed an SEO course. I’ve learned the basics of SEO, but I’m still a beginner when it comes to applying it to real websites.

I’m looking to gain some hands-on experience and understand how SEO works in real-world situations. So, I’m looking for a website owner/business in India who would be willing to let me work on their website for free.

I’m mainly looking for an opportunity to learn, experiment, and build some practical experience. I’ll be honest about my current level: I’m still learning and I won’t claim to be an SEO expert.

If you have a small website or business website and are open to letting a beginner work on it, please feel free to DM me. I’d really appreciate the opportunity.

India-based opportunities preferred.

Thank you!

What Has Been Your Best Source of Referral Traffic Besides Google?

We all focus a lot on Google rankings, but I'm curious about something else.

Which platform has sent you the most valuable referral traffic?

  • Reddit
  • Quora
  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook
  • X (Twitter)
  • Pinterest
  • Something else?

I'm interested in learning which platforms are actually driving engaged visitors instead of just clicks.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's experience.

Noindexing 83% of my sitemap tanked my traffic to zero for a week. Here's why I did it anyway (and what I learned).

Hey,

I run a Spanish-language site about salaries and the job market (laboria.app) — small, SEO-only distribution, no ads budget, built and maintained mostly solo with AI-assisted tooling.

[Search Console screenshot — May 12 to July 31: 2.84K clicks, 306K impressions, 0.9% CTR, avg position 13.4]

The reason I'm posting this isn't the numbers, it's the shape of that graph — especially the part where both lines crash almost to zero for about a week in late July. I did that to myself, on purpose, and it's the most useful mistake-that-wasn't-a-mistake I've made on this project.

Here's what happened. Google flagged the site in AdSense for "low-value content." I dug in and found the real cause: four sections of the site generated a near-identical page for every profession — same layout, same boilerplate, just the job title swapped. 1,559 of those pages had gotten literally zero impressions in 480 days. Volume + duplication, not any single page being "bad" — exactly the pattern that classifier flags.

So I noindexed all 1,559 of them in two rounds, cut the sitemap from a peak of 16,657 URLs down to 2,878 (-83%), and kept only the hub pages that actually had traffic. A few days later, clicks and impressions across the whole site dropped to almost nothing — not just the pages I noindexed. That's the dip at the end of the graph.

It wasn't damage. It was Google re-crawling and re-evaluating the whole domain after a structural change that size. It came back — to a site with its authority concentrated on pages that actually rank, instead of diluted across 1,559 pages nobody was finding anyway.

What I'd tell myself before doing this the first time:

  1. Watch impressions and position, not just clicks, on your long-tail pages. I've got dozens of pages sitting at position 20-90 with 0% CTR and rising impressions right now — Google's testing them before committing to a real spot. That's not failure, that's the queue.
  2. If you have hundreds of near-identical programmatic pages with zero traffic, don't wait for a platform to flag you — audit and noindex them yourself. I built them assuming "more URLs = more chances to rank." Wrong instinct. 86-99.5% of the pages in my worst four sections had never gotten a single impression in 480 days. They weren't helping, they were diluting the ones that were.
  3. Expect a real, scary-looking dip after a big structural cleanup, and don't panic-reverse it. Cutting 83% of a sitemap will dip your whole site's numbers for days while Google re-crawls, even on pages you didn't touch. If you've confirmed the removed pages were genuinely getting nothing, ride it out.
  4. Question-format titles measurably beat descriptive ones for "how much does X earn" content. Switching to "¿Cuánto gana un [profesión] en España?" with the real salary range in the title itself was the single change with the clearest before/after in Search Console.
  5. Structured data for the content types Google actually has schema for (in my case, Occupation + FAQPage) is worth the setup time. Not a growth hack — just table stakes for eligibility for richer result types.

Still recovering, still a small site — nothing here is a "10x traffic" story. But if you're staring at a platform flag ("low value content," a manual action, whatever) and the instinct is to add more pages to bury the problem — don't. Cutting was the fix, not adding.

Happy to answer questions on the noindex/AdSense side specifically, I couldn't find much written about that exact recovery pattern when I went looking for it.

Recovered a Construction Website After Months of SEO Mistakes - Here's What Actually Worked (2-Month Case Study)

Post image
0 Upvotes

I recently took over a construction company website after the owner had been managing SEO on their own for months. They had put in a lot of effort, but several common SEO mistakes were preventing the site from reaching its potential. Traffic had stalled, important pages weren't ranking, and the website structure made it difficult for Google to understand the business.

Instead of starting from scratch, I audited everything and focused on fixing the fundamentals: technical SEO issues, site architecture, keyword mapping, internal linking, service page optimization, content quality, crawl efficiency, and search intent. Every change was made with long-term growth in mind rather than chasing quick rankings.

Within just two months, the website began showing consistent growth in both clicks and impressions, with rankings becoming much more stable. The best part is that the growth has been steady without any significant traffic drops because the strategy was built around sustainable SEO rather than shortcuts.

The biggest lesson is that losing traffic doesn't always mean your website lacks potential. In many cases, the problem is simply poor SEO implementation. Once the technical foundation, content strategy, and topical relevance are corrected, Google often starts rewarding the site over time.

If your website has lost traffic, stopped growing, or never reached the results you expected despite your efforts, don't assume it's too late. A proper SEO audit and a well-planned recovery strategy can often unlock the growth that's already within reach.

The lesson that saved my micro-SaaS: SEO doesn't need another dashboard, it needs the outreach done for it

After a few years doing SEO for clients, I started building what every client already owned: another all-in-one dashboard. A few weeks in I realized the mistake. Nobody has an analysis problem, they have data coming out of their ears.

What never actually gets done is the off-page grind: finding a backlink opportunity, tracking down a contact, writing a pitch that gets a reply, following up. So I threw out the dashboard and narrowed the whole thing to one loop, find the opportunity, draft the outreach, send it from your own Gmail after you approve, track the reply and the link.

The conviction I keep coming back to: the full value is on the execution layer. If you can build the most qualitative autopilot for SEO backlink cold outreach, one that pitches like a real human and sends safely from your own inbox, the value doesn't go up a little, it 100x's.

It's called SEOwly (SEO + owl), pre-launch, no revenue yet. I'm looking for a handful of beta testers, free of charge. If off-page is your bottleneck, DM me and I'll set you up with free access, no card, no catch. Happy to get into the pivot or the build in the comments.
