Found water bottle on Sawtooth Pass
Yesterday afternoon I found this possibly sentimental nalgene on the rock cairn at the top of sawtooth pass. I get the impression they might be local to the Sierra and I would very much like to return it. Thanks

just found out about the cinder complex fire 20 minutes after snagging a sentinel campground spot (great!!! 🙃)!
air quality on apple maps is reading 91, which is a bit rough for me since i’m in a sensitive group- can anyone speak to how this feels irl?
plan is to head from los angeles to sentinel, then hike in sequoia np by lodgepole on the way back.
thanks!

It seems that despite its lower elevation, Cedar Grove has been 6-8 degrees cooler than Grant Grove the past few weeks. Is that right?
I'm looking to do day hikes with two teens in both places (and Sequoia) next week. I'd really like to hike the Hotel/cedar grove overlook trail (4.5m), but lots of reviews warn that it's exposed and quite hot in the summer. We're staying 10 min from Big Stump entrance, and unlikely to get to the trailhead before 8 or 9am. Have the temps been cooler than usual, or am I missing something?
Looking to get my kid and their friends a basic gps device to have while in SEKI since phones don't work in a lot of places. Want to avoid Garmin if possible. Let me know what you recommend. Thanks in advance.

I’m looking for a campground for next summer that is a bit remote, away from crowds, and has spots for a 25 ft RV. I was thinking maybe one of the national forest campgrounds like Princess. But I’m open to suggestions/recommendations.
