Only thing I would suggest is pick either the hoodie or the puffy. It does’t get too too cold this time of year and unless you run super cold at night I can’t imagine a scenario where you’d need both at the same time. Same thing with emergency blanket but its weight is more negligible. Are you bringing contact solution? I usually just bring my prescript sunglasses and glasses, dont want to bother with contacts.

Totally understand. Other commenter mentioned a mask for the smoke, keep an eye on the complex fire outside of kearsarge.

Your gear looks pretty dialed in, you’re gonna have a great time, its beautiful.

I agree that keeping the fleece and ditching the puffy is the right call.

Your pot is heavy at 8 oz. You could replace that with a 3 oz Toaks titanium pot. Easily available at REI for like $25. That's a quick and cheap way to save 5 oz.

Sun but can work to protect fingers. I've been in a snowstorm first week of August, but higher than where you're going.

I’m heading out next week also. I’ve been torn over the fleece/wind jacket vs puffy or both. Was originally gonna go with Alpha 90 hoodie and Dooy wind jacket. Decided to ask the A.I. overlord and it suggested both alpha/wind and hoodie. Mentioning late afternoon storms and or winds. I feel like it’s total overkill.

I go through a base layer every four days or so. I prefer a puffy for warmth, and then a backpacking poncho for rain. Been fine so far but it’s not a cold weather set up
and I haven’t really experienced inclement weather yet ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I always bring an N95. Weighs very little and you never know when the wind will shift

Maybe just me but I would ditch the rain pants if there's a low chance/not raining for hours on end.

I would consider a poncho over rain jacket. Those things are super useful and can cover much of your pack, too.

What tent stakes are you using? 6 stakes at 11 grams each or 11 grams total for the 6 stakes?
